Staying at the Swan Hotel in Lavenham
I had always wanted to stay at The Swan so we eagerly booked the off-peak luxury weekend. The hotel didn't disappoint, being steeped in historical detail, very clean and well organised with helpful friendly staff. The restaurant was beautiful and the tables were well placed apart. The food was slightly less than my expectations. The welcoming champagne was delicious and of a good quality and there was fresh water in the room each day.
The village is a joy to visit and we explored the local area over to the coast and back.
Beautiful hotel and excellent stay
Very impressed with The Swan. We stayed three nights and the first night was disturbed by pigeons scratching and cooing above the ceiling some of the night! Beware Room 36! Reception were excellent the next morning and immediately transferred us to a better room that was completely silent for the remaining two nights. We cannot fault anything at The Swan giving it top marks for everything. Would definitely stay again.

Great location in centre of historic Lavenham, plenty to explore on your doorstep.
Very comfortable hotel, many lounges for sitting / relaxing.
Superb evening meals in wonderful restaurant. Bit stressful at breakfast with cooked food having to be ordered and sometimes coming too soon.
All in all, very pleasant stay.
