An enjoyable break
It has a very busy reception area as people have to walk past to go to the dining areas. It was rather crowded when we arrived and no doorman to help us with our luggage. It would be good if they had a designated spot for dropping off luggage etc instead of having to park on double yellow lines to drop off bags. The car park was not attached to the building. The food was great, the sitting areas were very relaxing and the spa was great. Disappointed that we could not use the balance of our buy a gift voucher towards food or spa. We are now left with a balance of £40 on our voucher which we are unlikely to use.
Very pleasant mid-week break
Very nice room and other surroundings. Open fires very welcome. Breakfast excellent - dinner not quite so. Full afternoon tea also very good.

The feedback has been forwarded to the hotel and we have been informed that if plainer food is preferred then a brasserie menu is available. They appreciate that all tastes are different and they do try and cater for all requirements. They are pleased to hear that the food was to your wife's liking and that you both enjoyed breakfast together with the afternoon tea.

Wonderful 2 night stay for a birthday treat. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The afternoon tea was fantastic, I had fish for dinner both nights and it was beautifully cooked. Breakfast was cooked to order and very enjoyable. The hotel is very dog friendly and she was allowed everywhere apart from the dining room. Lovely comfy sofas in front of a roaring fire - bliss.
