My daughter and I had a very relaxing stay, staff were pleasant and helpful, food was very good with adequate choices.
It was the snowy weekend and we were cold on occasions, but it is an old building so I m sure that accounts for some of it.
I did leave something in the room but the staff e mailed and then sent it to me in the post which was very kind.

We stayed for one night and ate in the beautiful, oak beamed restaurant. It is a lovely old building, with sumptuous decor. The staff were attentive and pleasant, whilst maintaining the professional ambiance. The food was superb, and we enjoyed the experience overall. A small issue arose, but it was dealt with in a polite and entirely satisfactory way. I would wholeheartedly recommend the hotel and restaurant for a romantic getaway. The village of Lavenham itself is quaint, with some lovely old buildings, but unfortunately for us it was raining so we did not get to see much of it.
