The most relaxing break we've ever had

The wet weather didn't deter us from having the most relaxing short break that I can remember.
From the moment we parked the car (it didn't move until we left) & had such a warm welcome from the reception team everything went so smoothly.
We were shown to our recently refurbished double room and unpacked before heading to the spa.
It was as tranquil and lovely as the website suggests and I was impressed by the attention to detail and ambience as I enjoyed an hour or two of pampering.
Later we found the restaurant equally as good. Service and choice exceeded expectations.
We found there was plenty in Lavenham to see and do, it was a shame we were so well catered for at The Swan that we didn't sample the local tearoom, but did shop at the Butchers opposite before setting off for home.

Full marks for value!

We had a lovely weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary (57th!). Thanks for the chocolates, champagne and card. Great hotel; food excellent (but I wonder if a week's stay would mean the same menu for 7 nights or does it change?). Our son and daughter-in-law were impressed by the service.
Young staff in the restaurant were well trained (especially Tyler - full marks).. We MUCH appreciated the live piano music on the Saturday evening - that meant a lot as a musician myself!
We hope to come again.

Lovely relaxing weekend

We had a lovely weekend at the Swan. The hotel and room was very clean and welcoming. All the staff were excellent. It was great to have a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room. Our room was very nice but it wasn t possible to turn all the radiators off so we had to sleep with our windows open which was a bit noisy at times due to traffic . The lights in the bathroom could have been better particularly as the mirror and wall were slanted, it was challenging to put makeup on. A separate lit magnifying mirror on the wall that could be repositioned would remedy the situation. Really liked the spa. I thought the massage although good was very expensive but what really caused me anxiety was the girl had a cough and I felt she should have worn a mask during the massage.
