A chance to relax and enjoy a bit of luxury
We, and our dog, were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Our room was very comfortable. We had two delicious dinners in the smaller dining room and also enjoyed the choices available for breakfast. The cream tea we had as part of our deal was also really lovely.
Great but needs a brush up!
A good stay but lots of areas need a bit of TLC. Some of the furniture is looking very tired and worn. Some of the walkways were used as storage areas for unused chairs.
Reception staff are very welcoming and extremely professional. The restaurant manager is also very professional and seems to be proud of his restaurant. All the younger members of the waiting staff were excellent, however, some of the more mature members were rather curt and standoffish.
The food was delicious and the drinks were well made up and served.
None of this would put us off of a return visit but it was a shame that the 'luxury' element is a little missing.
A warm welcome
We enjoyed our break to this hotel and found it to be very welcoming with excellent staff and good food. The cream tea was excellent. The carpark was easy to use across the street. The bedroom was quite small but was cleaned to a high standard. We would recommend it for a relaxing stay.
