Pretty good stay but unexpected item in bagging area!
Really enjoyed our stay here staff seem to have gone up a notch in terms of customer service since last stay- especially the reception staff. Not too happy to find some underwear and socks in a drawer .
Think it s about time some sourdough bread was on offer alongside the sliced white and brown! Overall a lovely stay.

Old World Comfort
The Swan at Lavenham is a delightful hotel full of historic interest. Basically it is several medieval house which have been combined. There are lots of lovely, cosy sitting areas around real fires. The bedroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable.
The dining room is a brilliant space and the food is traditional but well cooked and served pleasantly.
Lavenham is a fascinating place, full of history, and many of the surrounding villages are well worth a visit. The countryside is gentle and pastoral, very good for walks.
The spa is very clean and well maintained.
We greatly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return. I wouldn't say it was particularly competitively priced; there are other offpeak luxury hotels of equal standard which are cheaper but neither is it exorbitant.
The staff were extremely helpful and delightful.
