A great Break
Hi I have already filled of these; the staff were excellent especially Malcolm everybody went that extra mile, However I was surprised that the menu was very restrictive and did not really change from one day to the next the main course was also rather small. Breakfast was good a wide range of choices.
Also I raised this at the time and I know how difficult it can be the pigeons waking me up at dawn ,
I realize difficulty with heritage issues but on inspection it looked as though an obtrusive wire mesh could be added to the eaves without conflict with the building appearance. Clearly this would help with mess the cause. I parked over the road I did not realise that you could park behind the hotel that would have been a bit more convenient. In all a very enjoyable stay

Enjoyed the food but disappointment had to negotiate four steep steps with no hand rail to get to our room at the back. Had requested a ground floor room as having a knee replacement in two weeks time.

I have looked at your booking and can see that you contacted us late on 01st October and your arrival was on 03rd October. We contacted the hotel to query a ground floor room at this short notice, they kindly advised that they could allocate a ground floor room, but there are around 5 steps to the room but no full staircases. We called you back to advise of this and you were happy to proceed with the booking.

The blinds in the bathroom and bedroom were so old that we could not raise them. However the reception staff were very helpful and moved us to another room. I had a few issues with unacceptable food but again staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good. If we stayed at the Swan again it probably would be Bed and Breakfast only. Every member of staff we come across was polite and helpful.
