Great Staff
When we arrived we were delighted to see they had already decorated for Christmas and it looked wonderful.(Even had a little snow The first morning). The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was nice and spacious however, it was very warm so the fan in the room was a good addition. The bathroom also nice and spacious however, the shower could do with been moved a little, as it would be awkward if you were tall. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night which was brilliant. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food lovely. Again it was nicely decorated for Christmas. We had a few drinks in the bar both evenings and again the staff were great, even remembering our drinks on the second evening. The grounds were lovely, we only had a short walk around as the weather wasn't great, but imagine it would be even better in the warmer months. Overall a great stay and will definitely visit again.
Pleasant Staff and lovely location
There was one receptionist, who was Italian and so helpful and utterly delightful. We enjoyed our two night stay. The breakfast was extremely good and the dinner was very well presented. We were disappointed with the bar menu particularly the pizza which was very poor! Obviously had been microwaved as it was limp and tasteless.Sandwiches are not available after about 5p.m., and so on the day of our arrival, having already having had lunch with friends en route, we were obliged to either have a full meal in the restaurant, which we neither wanted or needed, or have a snack in the bar. At that point a sandwich would have sufficed.
The room was comfortable and clean and even though it was winter we were still able to enjoy a walk around the grounds, which were extensive.
All the staff were very obliging and we would definitely stay again.
