A Perfect Overnight Stay
We received a warm welcome at reception when checking in and our first impression was a positive one. A very nice swimming pool where I had a relaxing swim followed by a comfortable sauna.
The staff in the restaurant were welcoming. The service here was a little slow at times but it was busy
and they seemed to be understaffed (we recognise that this is a common problem these days). The food was very good. I ordered the battered fish and chips and it was the best I have experienced in quite a while. The fish was cooked to perfection. Breakfast was fine and our waiter couldn t have been more helpful.
A hidden gem !
Great birthday family weekend at Wotton. Rooms were clean and the lovely scented bathroom products were a bonus. Dinner in the restaurant was great , the halloumi burgers were tasty. Staff were attentive as we were celebrating a birthday , especially Sarah and a french waiter I didn t catch his name . Breakfast was very busy at 9.30 , we waited in bar area until the waiter George tried his best to get a table ready as very busy with the added stress of a wedding party, he got us a table after probably after a 10 minute wait. Most staff ( bat staff alittle grumpy) were friendly and helpful nothing any trouble, such as veggie sausages ! Beautiful grounds worth a walk around them , tennis court is free ! Shere village 5 minute drive well worth a visit , tearooms and gift shops. We will definitely be back !to Wotton House hotel .
