Everything brilliant under the present circumstances
Relaxing stay
We enjoyed 4 nights at the St Michael Resort and had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is lovely, just above Gilly Beach and the restaurant food was excellent. Service in the restaurant was occasionally slow, but was explained by the number of new staff. My husband fell while running and scraped himself badly. He was impressively patched up by a staff member who had obviously been given a lot of first aid training. The only downside to the stay was how warm the bedroom was at night, despite the balcony door and a window being left open and the fan on. This during a very cloudy few days at the beginning of September. We dread to think how hot the room would be during a very sunny summer.

Location & Local Attractions
Just minutes from the hotel you can walk from Gyllngvase to Swanpool following the coastal path to explore the beaches and rockpools. In summer months stick to the grassy hills from which you can enjoy beautiful views. 20 minutes along the seafront will take you to Pendennis Point overlooking the Lizard, St Antony lighthouse and St Mawes. For a hidden valley, head inland to Kennal Vale in the countryside just outside of Falmouth, or for a tranquil stroll, Trebah Gardens is just a 15-minute drive away where you'll find a secluded beach right on the Helford River. Perched at the top of the Fal Estuary is Tresillick Gardens with jaw-dropping views and woodland where dogs can run free. You'll find an outdoor washing station for sandy paws back at the Resort.
