The Best Surprise for my Mums 50th!

11 of my family members stayed at The Swan Hotel & Spa, Lavenham on the 28th December 2016 and it's fair to say it was one of the loveliest hotels I have ever been to. The hotel were very helpful in making sure that the surprise for my mum's 50th birthday was a success and everything about our stay was perfect. I would like to mention a special thank you to Jo who worked behind the bar as she was very welcoming, chatty and made our stay as easy as possible with my mum temporarily being in a wheelchair.

Everywhere was spotless, the spa facilities were beautiful, rooms were spacious and the food was lovely.

Thank you! I will definitely be returning.

Swan Hotel

This was a perfect three days. The only fly in the ointment was that on my booking reservation it said my package included two dinners in the restaurant each evening. It did not. As I had a single occupancy in my room I had only one dinner per evening and had to pay in full for my other guest/guests. This should have been made clear from the start. In future I will be booking direct with the Swan and not through an agency because the 18 fee should have paid for accuracy. It did not,

A jewel in the crown of Lavenham

In spite of the fact that Lavenham is indeed uniquely attractive and interesting, and pretty dead at this time of year, we had a fantastic time. The hotel is definitely a must with its crooked rooms and charming atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, the food was delightful. The staff at the spa were exceptional and the spa itself quite lovely.  My only criticism? Perhaps a little more flexibility at breakfast? Being served at breakfast is certainly a luxury, however, the fixed order of play was a little confusing!
