For perfectly placed pet-away on the Suffolk coastline, look no further than the super dog-friendly, The Westleton Crown, which is in between the charming seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold. This traditional coaching inn warmly welcomes four-legged friends who can relax in the cosy bar or in front of the roaring log fire in the lounge in the winter. Or alternatively, you can enjoy an early evening drink together in the summer months. Dating back to the 12th century, the inn retains the character and rustic charm, with a selection of rooms, your and your canine companion will feel completely at home. The local area is brimming with fabulous walks, from pottering around Southwold to taking a coastal path train around the marshlands of Aldeburgh your dog will be spoilt for choice. The Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is bound to keep tails wagging all day.

Dine with Your Dog

Enjoy hearty or traditional fare in front of the huge open fire with Fido in tow and if you decide to dine alone, you can leave your pet in your room and dine in the restaurant. Head chef Robert Mace’s dishes are all prepared on the premises using the finest and freshest ingredients from the superb local suppliers wherever possible.

You and your pet are just a short stroll away from the stunning Suffolk countryside where you can both enjoy fabulous long walks on heaths and in forests, or on the year-round dog-friendly Dunwich beach. Don’t forget to try the famous fish and chip shop on the beach! Also, we recommend their ‘Inn to Inn’ walks between the Westleton Crown and sister hotel The Ship at Dunwich, as well as visit the beaches at Walberswick and Southwold.
