Coming home
This was our second visit to Cragwood, both times to celebrate a birthday. We were not disappointed. The staff could not ha e been more helpful or friendly and the food was excellent - different, adventurous and extremely well cooked.
We will be back, but I am not waiting for my next birthday.
High quality hotel and helpful staff
The hotel food was superb, excellent quality and presentation! Our dog friendly ground floor room had a patio door that you could use to take the dog out into the lovely grounds that went down to Lake Windermere. There was only 1 chair in the room, so it didn't get a 5 star rating. My husband also had to replace the stool/pouffe on wheels at the dressing table for an upright chair too as the pouffe wasn't safe for me to sit on (I am disabled). Staff were very helpful and friendly, allowing us to use the passage via the hotel kitchens to get to the restaurant as otherwise I would have had to use steps. Took no time at all for the staff to remember which room we were in, which was a bonus. Just a pity that the weather wasn't great after the first 2 days, but the hotel couldn't do anything about that!
Amazing hotel & food with really friendly staff
Had such an amazing stay at Cragwood. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely stunning. Beautiful gardens and views over the lake. Short walk from Brockhole pier where you can get ferry to the most popular locations around the lake.
