Set within the extensive grounds of North Tamarton’s Old Rectory, dog-friendly Treneglos in Cornwall is part of the Tamar Valley Cottages. Offering panoramic views over unspoilt countryside, it’s the perfect escape from everyday life for families and friends with four-legged companions. This cosy and idyllic cottage can house up to 5 guests across 2 bedrooms in a peaceful and tranquil setting and a welcome pack will be waiting for you on arrival. The cottages are just a short drive from some of the West Country’s most stunning, unspoilt beaches, coastal paths and wild moors. The grounds themselves feature a barbecue and garden furniture for the summer evenings as well as fabulous walks and plenty of space for games off the lead. Lots of attractions are awaiting the little ones nearby such as the Milky Way & The Eden Project and Dartmoor is only a 40-minute drive away!

Treneglos has a fully-equipped kitchen with everything you will need. As well as an open-plan dining room, the cottage has garden furniture and a patio area so in the summer months you and your pet can dine al fresco! Pre-order your food to be delivered to the cottage and it will be waiting for you when you get there. However, on the days when you would rather not cook, there are some wonderful local pubs only a short drive away. We recommend The Old Orchard Inn in Week St. Mary (10-minute drive away), The Olive Tree in Bude (15-minute away) and The Springer Spaniel gastro-pub in Treburley (30-minute drive away).

All the cottages are charmingly decorated and are all slightly different in aspect and design. Hendra Cottage can sleep up to nine people in four rooms. It has two double bedrooms, one twin and one bunk bedroom. Treneglos sleeps up to five people, with one double bedroom as well as one three-bedded room – perfect for families with children! Each bed features luxurious cotton bed linen and real eiderdowns. Bodrugan Cottage sleeps up to four and has one double bedroom and one twin. The delightful Penhale Cottage is ultra-cosy and sleeps up to four people in one double bedroom, overlooking the orchard, and one twin bedroom.

Within easy reach of the North Cornwall coastline and for further canine adventures, Dartmoor National Park is only a 40-minute drive away. There are also some fabulous dog-friendly attractions in the area, including Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway, Eden Project, Morwellan Quay village and copper mine, and the famous Tintagel Castle.
