Need to know Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Chesapeake Bay Retrievers’ stamina knows no bounds- they need to do at least two hours exercise each day. As they are retrievers they will be happy to play catch with a ball and/or catapult which helps to tire them out. Very good swimmers, the CBR has an oily coat which protects it from icy waters. This may mean that they are happier to sleep outside in a kennel where it is cooler. The Chesapeake Bay Retriever is the official dog of Maryland.
