The Moorland Hotel, Devon

The Moorland Hotel is a dog-friendly country house hotel in Haytor situated in the heart of Dartmoor National Park - surrounded by nature and  with stunning views across the Moors and the famous Haytor Rocks. Dating back to 1887 the hotel was built for tourists visiting Haytor Rocks and in 1916 was famously visited by Agatha Christie where she began writing The Mysterious Affair at Styles.

In a glorious rural setting you and your best furry friend can explore the 11 acres of gorgeous grounds surrounding the hotel as well as the timeless rock structures that are dotted throughout the surrounding hills. The hotel has a number of dog-friendly rooms conveniently sited on the ground floor with direct access to the grounds as well as a dog-friendly brasserie where can dine with your dog. The hotel is surrounded by fabulous walks including two of Dartmoor’s best walks, Burrator Dam and Dewerstone Wood. Buckland Abbey and Bovey Tracey aren also nearby.
