Kirkby Lonsdale is centrally located between the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and Lancashire. Just a 15 minute drive from the cottage you will find yourself in Ingleton, North Yorkshire, famous for waterfall’s, caving and climbing. The south Lake District is only a 20 minute drive away and offers attractions such as the South Lakes Safari Zoo, Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, Lakes Aquarium, Lakeland Motor Museum and Holker Hall Gardens- this is all before you reach Windermere Lake! 25 minutes south on the M6 and you are in the Historic City of Lancaster or by the seaside town of Morecambe. A two storey property set in an iconic Victorian slate building, which just oozes character. There is a designated parking space, which, if used conscientiously, will fit two cars.
All the amenities of this vibrant town are on your doorstep, just across the road is the main shopping area with a great selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and the iconic Moot Hall. A short 5 minute stroll will take you through Hope Park to the shores of Derwentwater, where The Keswick Launch Company operate regular trips around the lake each day, with numerous drop-off points if you wish to continue on foot. Keswick is renowned for its spectacular setting, surrounded by mountains, it’s abundance of shopping and dining experiences, as well as a variety of cultural hotspots and tourist attractions, including the Derwent Pencil Museum, the Theatre by the Lake, Keswick Convention Centre and Keswick Museum and Art Gallery and are all within walking distance.
