Broughton has excellent amenities including a selection of local shops, a tourist information centre and petrol station. Levens Hall and Gardens is a 20-minute drive from the apartment, being famous for the world’s oldest Topiary Gardens with a wonderful café, also very popular with locals, serving delicious home cooked food. The rest of the Lake District National Park, including Bowness and Windermere, is a mere 30 minutes’ drive away, and the Yorkshire Dales, with the popular market town of Kirkby Lonsdale and the water falls at Ingleton, a similar distance.
