Little Whitley is the former staff quarters to the main house, which started life in the 1600s, and has since been sympathetically restored into a stunning self-catering holiday property for up to four guests. The cottage lies within a private 200-acre family-run farm and boasts its own enclosed orchard and courtyard. The orchard leads on to a footpath which, in one direction, takes you to the village of Hookagate with a pub that welcomes dogs and is popular for food, and a regular bus service to Shrewsbury. In the other direction the footpath leads to Hanwood, also with a village pub and local shop. Whitley provides the perfect destination for couples, families and anyone looking for a relaxing rural retreat.

The Knowle is a large, Grade II listed, part-Georgian, part-Victorian house adjoining another property. Enoying a prominent position within a mile of Bridgnorth, it is located in the heart of the Shropshire countryside overlooking the River Severn. The spacious gardens of approximately ¾ of an acre feature a large barbecue area, plus a climbing frame and a swing for children. Internally, this holiday property boasts good-sized rooms ideal for family or group get-togethers, a snooker/billiard room and wi-fi.
There is easy access to the town and the River Severn, and it is just a 2-minute walk to the local pub and restaurant. The house is wonderful and remote, offering you plenty of peace and quiet, yet there are lots of country walks right from your doorstep, including the Rhydycroesau Woodlands and the Oswestry Old Racecourse Common Heritage Site to explore. Cynynion Uchaf has a homely and comfortable interior, with aspects of character showcasing the original beams, along with little touches of rural charm. You will love the comfy furnishings, hidden cupboards, and beautiful original red brick floors. The Roman City Chester provides a good day out, with city walls to walk, the oldest racecourse and the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain, a 1000-year-old Cathedral, plus the Zoo! This holiday cottage, newly converted in 2019, is situated just outside of the village of Baschurch which is set near to Shrewsbury and Ellesmere. Baschurch offers pubs, takeaways, churches, a large convenience store and cash point. The local bus, which operates between Shrewsbury and Ellesmere, collects and drops off on Springfield Barns main drive allowing guests to leave the car behind.
Shropshire is a gem of a county with so much to explore within easy reach. The north of the county offers the meres, mosses and canals along with the county town of Shrewsbury. Whereas the south of the county offers the stunning Shropshire Hills and food renowned market town of Ludlow. The county is home to Ironbridge World Heritage Site and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site and nine National Trust sites including Attingham Park.
Shrewsbury is the birthplace of Charles Darwin and is a wonder of medieval black and white buildings. The town offers fantastic dining, individual shops, craft markets, museums, art galleries and the stunning Dingle within the Quarry Park.
The barn is set within the boundary of the owner’s grounds and it neighbours The Parlour (ref UK10958) on one side. There is private parking for two cars within the main parking area and the property is accessed from the main drive.
You step through the front door into a very modern, bright, airy open plan conversion with vaulted ceilings and beautifully restored original exposed beams. Firstly, into the fully fitted and equipped kitchen area with breakfast bar, oven, microwave, fridge and ample storage space. Then into the living area with dining table for two people and the peaceful living area with a 32” Freeview TV and sofa. To the rear of the living area is the sleeping area with a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. It is surprisingly spacious for a sleeps two conversion.

Near to the famous foodie market town or Ludlow and walking distance to a lovely local bar/bistro, Apple Tree Lodge is set on the grounds of a 2,000-acre estate where guests are welcome to walk and take in the stunning Shropshire countryside.
The lodge itself is a converted, small L-shape property all set on one level. An open plan layout with a kitchen with all the mod cons, a large dining area big enough for six and a light spacious lounge with a wood burner, excellent too cosy up next to after your long county walks or the colder nights.
There are also two good sized bedrooms and a shared bathroom. To the right of the property you will find a small secure paddock with picnic benches where you can sit and have a morning coffee reading the paper and planning your day.
The lodge also has a hard tennis court so don’t forget your racket!
Apple Tree Lodge is an ideal base to explore Shropshire and all the surrounding area has to offer.

Situated in the pretty village of Harley this detached property enjoys gorgeous views over the surrounding farmland and the ‘Wenlock Edge’. Meadow View is a superb property for families and groups alike. The property has the advantage of a good sized living room and a dining room with a dining table to seat 10 guests. The conservatory provides wonderful views of Wenlock Edge and the large gardens to the rear of the property. There is also a games room on the ground floor with a writng desk, chair, 65" HD TV, Playstation and table football. On the first floor there are five bedrooms, one with en-suite, and a family bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The property is located within close reach of the popular towns of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Ironbridge which all have a range of independent shops, bars and restaurants. There are many excellent walks along the Shropshire Hills and over the Wenlock Edge. For those guests looking to be less active, there are many pleasant days out to be had in the area, including seeing Haughmond Abbey ruins, Shrewsbury Abbey and Attingham park. These two properties are in the pretty village of Burwarton, at the foot of The Brown Clee Hill, and located just a minutes walk from a country pub ’The Boyne Arms’, which has been renovated and is run by the owners’ of these properties. The Boyne Arms offers fantastic meals in a most comfortable and cosy setting, the beer garden outside now includes private pods which guests can use to enjoy their drinks and food outside (see their website for opening and serving times). Included in your short break will be a return journey to either Ludlow or Bridgnorth, to enhance your stay without the need to worry about transport.
The Old School House 1 (UK32061) is a three bedroomed property of which one is en-suite and has a mezzanine balcony overlooking the open plan living space. The Old Kitchen (UK32062) is a studio apartment with the bedroom area in with the living area.
Burwarton is close to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, Ludlow and Bridgnorth which all offer an array of attractions as well as a large range of shops and bars. For the more active guests there are many walks to enjoy such as Clee Burf and Brown Clee Hill which is the highest point in Shropshire. The town of Ludlow is also just a short drive away and highlights for the day include Mortimer Forest and Ludlow Castle. After a long day walking and exploring all that Shropshire has to offer.
