After dinner, retire to the generous corner sofa and gather your loved ones for a film night on the large flat screen TV, a wonderful end to the day. Explore the local village, where you will find a well-stocked convenience store for picking up any essentials, and the welcoming Pheasant Inn, where you can treat your loved ones to a tasty meal and have night off from the kitchen. The delightful Lappa Valley Railway rests nearby, where you can sit back and relax as you chug through wildlife rich surroundings and a former mining area. Be sure to check out the nearby National Trust site of Trerice, an impressive 16th-century manor house with formal gardens and on-site restaurant. St Newlyn East has a well-stocked supermarket, a tavern that serves wonderful home-made food, a post office, and a butcher's. There are numerous tourist attractions within a 10-mile radius, including stately homes and gardens, model railroads and theme parks, fishing villages, harbours, and some of the greatest surfing beaches in the UK.
Overlooking Fistral Beach's lapping surf is the National Surfing Centre, located in nearby Newquay, which offers a wide variety of nightlife options, dining options, and stores for tourists. Truro, the Eden Project, and a host of other attractions are all within easy reach, making this a great starting point for a multi-faceted vacation.
