At one extreme, hire a jet ski for an invigorating ride and at the other, take a walk around the lake with the binoculars for a spot of birdwatching. The surrounding area is peppered with pretty market towns, including Louth and Horncastle, whilst the lovely village of Woodhall Spa is nearby and the beautiful cathedral city of Lincoln is well worth visiting with its majestic castle set high on the hill overlooking the medieval streets. Tattershall Lakes Country Park is situated between the Fens and the Wolds and offers woodlands, lakes, watersports, course fishing, an indoor heated swimming pool, gym, spa, shop and a pub/restaurant. The National Trust owned Tattershall Castle is nearby and further afield are Belovir Castle, Burghley House and Belton House, as well as the city of Lincoln.
