Perched in Frankton near Ellesmere in Shropshire is this superb, two-bedroom detached log cabin, Brynallt Country Park. Handmade from Western Red Cedar and enjoying a fantastic location set within its own five-acres in the grounds of the grand country estate of Brynallt Country Park, the property makes a fantastic dwelling for two couples or a family of four looking to explore this beautiful region. Park up in one of two off-road parking spaces, before unloading your bags and stepping into your new home-from-home. Be welcomed into the open-plan living space, where you can look forward to whipping up culinary delights in the well-equipped kitchen with the help of the double electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher ensuring a fuss-free clean up! Settle down at the dining table where you can savour a delicious meal and discuss plans for the days ahead. If the weather is nice, fire up the barbecue and dine alfresco out on your own private terrace, followed by a refreshing walk around the five-acre paddock. As the evening cools, retire to the plush leather sofa and snuggle up in front of your favourite film, courtesy of the TV with DVD player. After a day of exploring, soothe tired muscles with an indulgent soak in the double-ended bath, before popping on your pyjamas and catching you rest in one of two well-presented bedrooms, a king-size with TV, DVD player and en-suite shower room and a double with TV and DVD player. Kick-start your day with a revitalising shower, followed by a steaming cup of coffee before setting out for the day. Head over to the town of Ellesmere, where you will find a delightful selection of amenities, including pubs and restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat on those evenings where you don’t feel like cooking, well-stocked supermarkets for picking up your favourite ingredients to impress your guests with fine cuisine and the picturesque Ellesmere Wharf where you can watch the boats and the world go by. Walkers will delight at the charming Ellesmere Sculpture Trail, a circular walk around The Mere with the opportunity to soak up fantastic views and spot the local wildlife. If walking is your thing, be sure to visit Chirk where you can find the Start of Maelor Way, as well as the 82-mile Offas Dyke, sure to satisfy any outdoor enthusiasts. Chirk is also home to a fascinating 700-year-old castle which houses armour and is set in gloriously manicured gardens. Next stop is Llangollen, where you can wander around the impressive 14th-century Plas Newydd Historic House and Gardens, embark on The Llangollen Round or hop aboard a vintage steam train at the Llangollen Railway Station for incomparable sights as you venture along the River Dee and through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Brynallt Country Park offers a wonderful base for a memorable holiday exploring the delights of Shropshire.

    Location

    Directions
Ellesmere, a charming market town with Tudor, Georgian, and Victorian architecture, is located in Shopshire's Lakeland, between the Shropshire Meres and the well-known Shropshire to Llangollen canal. This historic town, which was initially a fortified Anglo-Saxon village, has a splendid 15th-century church and was home to Thomas Telford during the late 18th-century construction of the canal network. Also, the town has a wide range of stores, taverns, and restaurants, as well as a lot of things to do on and around the nearby meres.
