The dog-friendly Burgoyne is a stylish late Georgian country house hotel overlooking the village green in Reeth, Richmond. This charming hotel makes the perfect place to stay for a dog-friendly getaway as it is situated in the breathtaking Swaledale Valley in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with fabulous walks on the doorstep.

Whether you prefer long walks on the moors or more local gentle strolls this hotel offers peace and relaxation with stunning views. All the boutique style bedrooms are individually named after local villages with each bedroom providing a unique experience. You can dine with your dog in the 1783 bar area of the restaurant which serves delicious locally sourced food with fabulous views of the Yorkshire Dales. As well as wonderful walks on theo moors enjoy visits to the grounds of local castles and Abbeys like Bolton Castle and Fountains Abbey, Reeth is also mid way on the coast-to-coast footpath on the Pennine Way.

You can dine with your dog in the 1783 bar area of the restaurant situated in the heart of the house where you can enjoy the best, home-grown Yorkshire produce from local suppliers and their own kitchen garden in a relaxed setting. If you wish to dine in the restaurant area where you can enjoy a fine dining experience you can leave your dog in the room.

IVELET

One of our Luxury Rooms, Ivelet is a spacious, stylish room with amazing views over Reeth village green and the moors of Grinton and Harkerside. Situated on the second floor on the west side of the building, this room was part of the first extension built in 1875. Ivelet is beautifully decorated and boasts a stunning en-suite bathroom with a separate shower and freestanding bathtub perfectly positioned for you to take in the spectacular views whilst relaxing into a bubble bath.

Named after a small tranquil village at the western end of Swaledale, the recently refurbished Muker, features a beautiful en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. After a day exploring the local area, you can relax on one of the cushioned window seats and take in in the stunning views. Muker can be reconfigured as a twin room or connected to its neighbouring room Harkerside, to accommodate visiting families.

ESKELETH

Named after a hamlet in Arkengarthdale, Eskeleth is one of our Superior Plus Rooms. Situated on the ground floor, it features a stunning en-suite bathroom with separate bathtub and shower. Its French doors open out onto the beautiful front garden and the Swaledale hills beyond. The patio area is furnished with a table and chairs, providing an ideal setting for you to enjoy evening drinks looking out over the breath-taking views.

If you are looking for a room with a view then Redmire is the room for you. This Superior Plus room boasts some of the most stunning views of the local village leading to Grinton and Gunnerside Moors. Redmire is situated on the first floor centrally positioned above the stairwell. This room is part of the original building dating back to 1783. It has been tastefully decorated to a high standard and features a superb en-suite bathroom with a large shower and separate bath.

Its traditional window comes with a cushioned window seat looking out over the village green, perfect for watching the world go by.

The Burgoyne makes an ideal base for you and your dog to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Reeth lies approximately mid-way on the Coast-to-Coast footpath - perfect for walks with your best furry friend and Upper Swaledale is also on the Pennine Way. The team at the hotel have local maps and walking maps to help you. It's worth visiting Arkengarthdale, which winds up to the Pennines and passes the door of the highest pub in England, the dog-friendly Tan Hill Inn and pretty local villages including Thwaite and Keld. There are also dog-friendly castles and abbeys including Bolton Castle and Fountains Abbey nearby.
