    This village is set in the East Midlands county of Rutland. The Fox and Hounds public house overlooks the tree-planted green, offering cosy winter evenings around the fireplace. Oakham is the nearest town, boasting a combination of stone and thatched buildings, a range of shops, as well as pubs, bars and eateries to choose from. There is also a local history museum, a 12th century castle and a 14th century church. The Rutland Water Nature Reserve offers watersports, a small water adventure park, birdwatching and a sailing club, as well as fishing.
