The Feathers is a truly dog-friendly, traditional coaching inn located in the bustling market square of Helmsley. It was owned by the Duncombe Park Estate and the family’s connections with the town goes back to 1694 when Charles Duncombe acquired the manor and the castle of Helmsley. The hotel is extremely comfortable, with lovely spacious rooms and all-day dining. The market town has charming shops and tearooms, many dog-friendly, and is surrounded by the North Yorkshire Moors National Park - perfect for you and your best furry friend - and is situated at the start of the Cleveland Way walk. The area is full of romantic ruins, stately homes, magical gardens and is ideal for dog walking, cycling, golf, riding, and a range of country sports. And for coastal canines, the hotel is within half an hour’s drive of the delightful seaside resorts along the North East coast.
