About this property

An elegant, boutique hotel, dog-friendly The Kings Head in the Cotswolds is a former 14th-century coaching inn. The Kings Head is proud of its history and still retains its stone walls, wooden beams and an original Roman mosaic, but also features contemporary touches throughout. You and your pooch can spend your days wandering the pretty streets of Cirencester or if you’re feeling more adventurous, venture into the gorgeous Cotswold countryside. Head to the Bar & Lounge for a delicious meal after a long day with your hound in tow. And for those of you who want to really wind down whilst you’re away, pop by the hotel’s subterranean spa. Please note the steam room is currently out of service.

You’ll experience nothing but fine British food at The Kings Head. All food is locally sourced and freshly prepared on the day by the Head Chef and his team, with the result being seasonal menus full of heritage and provenance. After a long day of walking with your pooch, enjoy an afternoon tea or treat yourself to a Cotswold Sunday lunch! You can dine with your furry friend in the Bar & Lounge area.

There are lots of wonderful things to do in the area! The Bathurst Estate & Cirencester Park – an 11,500-acre parkland – is only a 10-minute walk away and perfect for dogs. Behind the church which is opposite the hotel, there are the lovely Abbey Grounds – a large park area perfect for walks – which has river frontage as well as a bandstand. And of course, because you’re in the Cotswolds there are some lovely villages to visit nearby with Fido, including Bibury.
