The dog-friendly Old Ferry Inn has a fabulous location on the banks of the Fowey River Estuary in the delightful village of Bodinnick.

A quintessential Cornish Inn that has been providing hospitality for over 400 years. With wonderful views over Bodinnick to Fowey ferry which can trace its roots back to the 13th Century, and 'Ferryside' views of the former family home of Daphne du Maurier. The Inn offers a warm welcome to furry friends with many traditional features including a wood burner and stone slate floor, and is full of old photographs, nautical bric-a-brac and memorabilia. With eleven comfortable bedrooms, the restaurant has fantastic river views towards the town of Fowey and the village of Polruan. The hotel has wonderful south facing outside terraces perfect for dining al fresco. Your dog will love the fabulous beaches and cliff top walks as well as trips on the dog-friendly ferry.

Must be its fabulous location with beaches on the doorstep and a dog-friendly ferry - ideal for day trips to Looe or Polperro in East Cornwall and Fowey and further down to west Cornwall.

Dine with Your Dog

Dogs are welcome with treats in the bar area where you can dine with your dog. Alternatively in the summer months you can dine with your dog on the south facing terraces. If you do wish to dine in the restaurant you can leave your dog in the room. The restaurant serves up excellent Cornish fayre sourced within 25 miles from Cornish Artisan suppliers and offers a unique take on Tapas inspired small and larger plates. Daily specials are available.

There are fabulous coastal walks and year round dog-friendly beaches at Coombe Have, Polridmouth Beach, Par Sands, Spit Beach as well as Lantic Bay and Lantivet Bay. Also take your dog on the famous Hall Walk - a circular walk that takes in stunning views of the Fowey Estuary, Fowey, the village of Polruan and the local countryside. The full walk is four miles and is a moderately difficult walk, the footpath has some steep climbs in places, but there are benches at regularly intervals where you can admire the views. The walk is circular and is completed with two short dog-friendly ferry journeys on the
Polruan Passenger Ferry, and the Bodinnick car ferry.
