Overview

Tucked away in the pretty Cheshire village of Christleton, is this wonderful three-bedroom, semi-detached house, The Hawthorns. Enjoying a prime location just moments away from the local amenities, and just a short drive away from the historic city of Chester, The Hawthorns is a fabulous pet-friendly dwelling for a group or family of six, plus their two canine companions. Leave your vehicle in one of two off-road parking spaces, before making your way into your new abode. Look forward to cooking up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a handy washing machine, ready to enjoy at the dining table in the living/dining room. After dinner, why not head out to the large rear garden, where you can play a game of fetch with your pooches or catch the last of the day’s rays as they run and play. After dinner, retire to the sitting room to relax on the plush seating and snuggle up in front of your favourite show the TV. The living/dining room also has its own TV where you can watch something different. Climb the stairs up to the first floor, where you can wash away the day with a soothing soak in the bath, complete with overhead shower. When sleep calls, retreat to one of three well-appointed bedrooms to catch your rest, a double, a single and a family room with double and single, all with plenty of storage for your belongings. Explore the local village, where you will find the delightful Ring O’ Bells pub, serving a tasty menu of British favourites and local ales, the perfect place to refuel after a day of exploring. The village also offers the traditional inn of the Cheshire Cat, a charming café where you can savour a light bite and a well-stocked convenience store for picking up any last-minute essentials. From The Hawthorns you can enjoy leisurely strolls along the Shropshire Union Canal or around Christleton’s Duck Pond where you can spot the local wildlife. Take the short drive into the bustling city centre of Chester (or less than a mile walk along the scenic canal route), where you can indulge in some retail therapy at the variety of shops speckled amongst the historic rows, wander the Chester City Walls, marvel at the remarkable Chester Cathedral, meet the resident squirrels in Grosvenor Park, enjoy a boat trip along the River Dee, have your picture taken with the Eastgate Clock, well-known for being the most photographed clock in the UK. Time your visit right and spend a day at the annual Chester Races which take place annually between May through to September at the Chester Racecourse. There are plenty of places to enjoy drinks and dine, including The White Horse, Telford’s Warehouse, Olive Tree Brasserie and Oddfellows. Continue onto Chester Zoo for a fun-filled family day out, or head to Ellesmere Port for further shopping opportunities at Cheshire Oaks. All this and more awaits at The Hawthorns.

In Christleton, Cheshire, tourists may find a shop, a village inn, a church and a pond, which is home to the local ducks! Chester, a Roman city just 3 miles away, has been referred to as "the jewel of the North-West of England" for a reason. From Roman walls and amphitheatres to mediaeval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses, and Georgian terraces, there is evidence of the city's history in a relatively small space. This is perhaps one of the most fascinating aspects of the city: There is a lot to see and do in the city, including great shopping in the famed Rows and beautiful hikes surrounding the city limits, such as via Grosvenor Park or the Roman walls. Cheshire's market towns and Cheshire's quaint villages are all within easy driving distance, while the adjacent Wirral Peninsula has numerous excellent golf courses to choose from.
