Castles can be found all over the area at Bala, Caenarfon and Harlech. If you like to get out in the fresh air, this is great walking country, why not tackle the peak of Cadair Idris? Only 2-minutes drive from the beach, it is beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated offering the perfect retreat for couples looking to explore this beautiful part of North Wales. Dinas Dinlle beach is in walking distance from the lodge, with wonderful views across the bay to the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Caernarfon Castle, an imposing UNESCO World Heritage site, is under 8 miles and where Prince Charles took his investiture. Venture just a little further and you have Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog, home to the Welsh Highland Railway. Wonderfully private - there are no other pods here - this pod is set in its own private, spacious garden. A wonderful spot for a romantic break away to experience something a little out of the ordinary. Criccieth centre is a short walk from the cottage where you’ll find various cafés, restaurants and bars to sit and watch the world go by, along with independent shops to peruse. The pebble beach with promenade and breath-taking views is a must for strolling along. For the more adventurous an array of water sport activities can also be enjoyed from here.
The Llŷn Peninsula is an unspoilt, designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with miles of coastal and mountain walks to explore. There is wildlife in abundance, pods of dolphins, seals and birdlife to spot. Nearby Pwllheli has plenty of shops to browse around, eateries and a large beach with miles of sweeping sands.
