  • Ledmore, Isle Of MullInstant Book Overlay ImageNew In Overlay Image
Ideal for lovers of nature, Ledmore on the Isle of Mull is in a lovely, secluded location next to a loch, surrounded by meadows and a small river. With no other house in sight, you can enjoy nature at its best. Relax on the small island in the river or next to a private waterfall.
Ledmore is a traditional island house, at the bottom of Loch Frisa and is 3 miles along a forestry track so you can completely immerse yourself in your surroundings and enjoy the natural world. Be welcomed by the entrance hall leading to a big, family-friendly kitchen which is ideal for gathering in to plan your day’s adventures. The cosy living room with its open fire and DVD player (with streaming apps available), is the perfect place to relax in after a long day exploring. There’s a ground floor shower room, and two cosy bedrooms upstairs along with a bathroom. There is also a barn for playing indoor games of tennis, football and more, and a cosy annexe with table tennis table, seating and storage for bikes/surfboards etc, an ideal chill space for teens. There is truly so much to do, including splashing around in the river, swimming in the loch, or stop in and play within the barn. Walk along the loch to see red deer or climb Spienne Mhor for fantastic views over the west coast. Free trout fishing is included (season is March 15th to October 6th), and an optional boat, engine, fishing tackle and tuition can be booked through the owner (at an extra charge).
You may spend your days fishing, wild swimming and canoeing but the Isle of Mull has so much to offer. You can also enjoy expeditions to castles and beaches to watch eagles, puffins, and marine life. Don’t miss boat trips to Iona and Staffa. The Isle of Mull is well known for the re-introduction of white-tailed eagles which can be seen throughout the island. Daily boat trips leave Tobermory for trips to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles as the seas off the coast of Mull are important feeding areas for whales, dolphins and basking sharks. With luck you may catch a glimpse of a rare golden eagle, otter, corncrake or other wildlife in the area.
The Isle of Mull sits off the west coast of Scotland and is the second largest of the inner Hebridean islands. Easily accessible from the mainland with car and passenger ferries running regularly from the mainland with the main route being from Oban to Craignure via Caledonian MacBrayne. Boasting approximately 300 miles of coastline from rugged cliffs to both white and black sandy beaches, the beauty of Mull can be enjoyed year-round with an ever-changing, spectacular landscape. Mull is a surprisingly big island and has so much to offer with many villages, lochs and beaches to explore. You can also easily visit the iconic island of Iona, the tiny isle of Ulva or the Treshnish islands. There is ferry access to the mainland Morvern peninsula from Tobermory or Fishnish.
