Events Square is home to the National Maritime Museum with various events throughout the year, including the lively Sea Shanty week, Oyster Festival and food and music festivals.

Aberdaron has two pubs serving great meals, one with a terrace directly overlooking the beach, two tea rooms, a fish bar, an ice cream parlour selling award-winning ice cream and an excellent bakery with a tea room upstairs. The Spar has a post office counter and the Eleri Stores sells fishing tackle, frozen bait, newspapers, lottery tickets and freshly cooked takeaway pizza. The National Trust interactive visitor centre in Aberdaron promotes the many attractions of the Llyn Peninsula. The ancient church of St Hywyn’s in Aberdaron was the last stopping off point for pilgrims to Bardsey Island. There is so much to see and do within 200 yards of Bodarfor! Uwchmynydd is a heath covered headland above the village and is and home to a variety of rare plants and birds - an ideal spot from where to catch sight of elusive Bardsey Island which is invisible from the village or the Peninsula.

Just a gentle walk away is the North Norfolk Railway Poppy Line, which runs between Holt and Sheringham. This famous steam railway is often used in films and television and has been described as one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the British Isles.

Just over a mile away (a 25-minute walk) is the pretty coastal village of Weybourne with its shingle beach. Here you will find the local deli where you can get fresh bread, milk, cheeses, meats, postcards and even some small essentials like wine and plasters. There is a local pub that has a fantastic selection of gins (if that is your tipple of choice) and home-made food. The pub does get busy in season so best to book.

A little closer (a 15-minute walk) is the shop and pub/restaurant that are open to the general public as part of the Kelling Heath Holiday Park. Here there are also leisure facilities that are available on a pay as you go basis.

Weybourne fishing resort is situated on the Norfolk coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. To the east lies the bustling coastal market towns of Sheringham and Cromer, and to the west there is a string of picturesque villages leading to Wells-next-the-Sea with its picturesque quay. Add in numerous National Trust sites, stately homes, bird watching opportunities galore and great cycling routes and you will see why this part of the coastline remains so popular with guests who return again and again. There is also a gorgeous summer house (The Beach Hut), an idyllic spot to snuggle in and relax. Bramble Cottage is a mere gentle stroll from the seashore of Craster. This picturesque coastal village is home to the renowned ‘Craster Kipper’; a smoked fish exported to food lovers across the country. Bramble Cottage has a private and gated drive for one vehicle only. If guests plan to bring a second vehicle or have visitors then the only option for this is the public car park, which is 220 yards away by foot and which costs £6.50 per day per car to park. This car park will become busy during peak periods, and there is no other public parking in the village.
There is a small, pretty harbour close by with a view northward along the rocky shore to the spectacular ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle. Explore the 20 miles of Northumberland Heritage Coastline recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its walking trails and cycling routes. The welcoming village of Embleton is only 3 miles north with its wide sweep of golden sandy beach which has won the public poll of ‘Beach of the Year’ in the 2017 BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards. Beadnell Bay is a further 4 miles north and a popular destination for water-sports enthusiasts, including sailing, sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba diving. Two miles further up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly from its harbour. The picture perfect village of Bamburgh, snuggled in the shadow of its majestic castle is a further 3 miles north. Just 7 miles inland from Bramble Cottage is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy). Visitors can enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden, a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden including the Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe. One of the prettiest Pembrokeshire cottages in our portfolio in a totally secluded position above the tiny hamlet of Middle Mill in the Solva Valley. Beautiful country views, yet close to the sea, pet friendly, near many sandy beaches.
Full of character with beamed ceilings, stripped wooden flooring and is skilfully appointed and colour coordinated throughout. Relax in the comfortable sitting room with upholstered sofa and chairs beside a wood burning stove set into a pretty white washed stone hearth. The cottage now boasts a large parking area by the house for 3 cars enabling easy access and the ability to turn your car round if required. The garden has also been enlarged and relandscaped with wild flower. The village shop in nearby Upper Solva, has a post office and off licence, sells groceries, papers, angling supplies and offers a delivery service within the Solva area.
A century old working woollen mill with most hospitable and informative proprietors and tearoom is 200 yards away from this secluded holiday cottage in Middle Mill near Solva, a very pretty spot for a picnic by the tumbling Solva stream. Bwth Carron is a charming detached Welsh stone cottage perched high on the hill above Barmouth harbour with magnificent views over the sea, harbour and surrounding hills. There is no road access. The cottage is only accessible on foot and is reached after a short but steep climb up slopes and steps from the town. The views from the cottage and the garden make the climb well worth it. It will appeal to guests who enjoy walking, boating or beach holidays. You can walk directly from the cottage into the hills and mountains surrounding the beautiful Mawddach Estuary. There is a railway station nearby in the town for eploring the wider area.

The ground floor is open plan, with a well-equipped kitchen area, living and dining spaces. The dining area is complete with table, chairs and a window seat. Stairs lead out of this room to the upper floor with three bedrooms with sea views from the double bedrooms, and a shower room with toilet. There is also a separate toilet in a room accessed from the garden.

Beautifully located amidst unspoilt countryside with lovely valley views, and just a couple of miles inland from Cardigan Bay, the three cottages at Penrallt Y Cordde offer the perfect location to enjoy the Marine Heritage coastline. There are several award-winning beaches nearby, remote sandy coves and small fishing villages nestling amidst the stunning scenery. Tresaith, Penbryn, Cei Bach, Llangrannog and Mwnt are just a few worthy of a visit and several beaches are dog friendly all year round.
The three cottages sit within the resident owners’ 15 acres of land, where they have their own farmhouse and pastures, meadows, woodlands, ponds and stream. Each holiday cottage is different but all are equally comfortable and with unique features. The Grade II listed detached cottage, Bwthyn Barri (ref OW9) is believed to have been built in 1711 and is full of character with beams and exposed stonework, and has an inglenook fireplace with wood-burning stove.
Y Cartws (ref OW8 and meaning ‘cart’), and Yr Ysgubor (ref OX1 and meaning ‘barn’), have been created from an old stone barn and now offer contemporary accommodation in a sympathetic conversion, also with beams, vaulted ceilings and exposed stonework.
The Ceredigion Coastal Path takes in spectacular cliff top views and ‘Cardi Bach’ buses connect with various points along the route. Designated a Special Area of Conservation, Cardigan Bay is home to bottlenose dolphins, harbour porpoises, grey seals and a variety of sea birds. You can take a dolphin spotting boat trip from New Quay harbour, or just enjoy fish and chips and watch them from the harbour wall. It’s no wonder that writer Dylan Thomas was inspired to settle here for some of his life.
There are plenty of attractive towns and villages to discover nearby, including Cardigan and its castle, the colourful harbour town of Aberaeron with elegant painted Georgian buildings, impressive Cilgerran, and bustling Newcastle Emlyn. Cosy pubs, chic shops, antique centres and good restaurants in the area, and for the more sporty, there are plenty of outdoor activities available including cycle routes, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and a canoe centre at Llandysul.
Just a few miles further inland the scenic Teifi Valley offers excellent opportunities for fishing as well as attractions such as the Teifi Valley Railway, the National Wool Museum, the National Coracle Centre and falls at Cenarth.

Forming part of a working croft, this pretty cottage has been in the same family for over 100 years.
