From mountains to coast, there are countless walking, biking and canoeing opportunities. And the wildlife that resides on and around Arran is Scottish with red squirrels, golden eagles and otters a plenty.
    The cottage is adjoined to the owner’s house, but is private with its own entrance, garden, with views to Sanda Island and the Mull of Kintyre. The cottage is dog friendly, with the owners having a number of their own pet dogs and are welcoming to all well-behaved dogs. It’s an excellent place to take your dogs as there are many brilliant walks right from the cottage and throughout the island, and the beach is within walking distance. There is an outdoor shower with hot water, perfect for washing muddy bodies and paws also a day kennel for your use.
    Entering the cottage through the enclosed porch area where you can place boots, coats, bikes, after days our exploring the island. You’re drawn through to the open-plan living/dining/kitchen where there the wood burner takes centre stage. It is beautifully decorated for you to immediately feel at ease and relaxed. The well-stocked kitchen area is spacious and has everything you will want to rustle up hearty meals. The first floor has two lovely bedrooms, one double and one single. Both have en-suites, one shower room and one bathroom.
    Sanda View Cottage is located within a working Croft, the livestock including sheep, pigs, ducks and other dogs are located in another secure area however may be seen and heard from the cottage windows or garden.
    The Lagg distillery is located 1.4 miles, within walking distance from the cottage where you can get fresh tea, coffee, food and whisky tastings. Another 1/2 mile beyond the distillery is the pet friendly restaurant at the Lagg Hotel. And, if you continue up the hill from there, a quarter of a mile is the community hall shop that have a selection of basic groceries and fresh milk.
