Just further on from here is the market town of Llanrwst where you will find grocery stores, local butchers, a bike hire shop and eateries, or there are some wonderful scenic walks along the riverbank here too.
    Betws-y-Coed known as the ‘gateway to the Snowdonia National Park’ is only 9 miles distance, a popular destination for all age groups. A bustling spot with many highly rated eateries to enjoy, friendly pubs, a variety of fabulous shops selling local items, and various outdoor pursuit shops. The golf club is also in central Betws-y-Coed and welcomes visitors.
    There are many scenic walks to explore, along rivers and waterfalls, Llyn (lake) Elsi sits above Betws Y Coed and is well worth the hike up. Just down the valley from Betws-y-Coed is the famous Marin Bike Trails, with colour-coded routes suitable for all abilities. Just up the road from here is Llyn Geirionydd (Geirionydd Lake) which is a wonderful spot for a day out where you can take a swim, or use your paddle boards and kayaks, and there are picnic benches available, as well as free parking and toilets here.
    Tree Top Adventures is also nearby where you will find six adventures to choose from, some of which are tree hoping, a forest coaster and a Skyride, check out their website and be sure to book to avoid disappointment. Down towards the coast, less than 20 minutes drive is the pretty harbour town of Conwy, a wonderful vibrant town full of history and interesting places to visit such as Conwy Castle, the smallest house in Great Britain, Plas Mawr, along with wine bars and traditional pubs. Walk the castle walls, catch a boat from the harbour for a leisurely trip along the river, why not relive your childhood and go crabbing at the marina? You can follow the picturesque coastal path to Morfa Conwy Bech, a beautiful sandy and dog-friendly beach.
