    Newquay provides an abundance of attractions suitable for the whole family, from wide sandy beaches, restaurants, beachside cafes, a zoo, a Sea Life Centre, parks, sports centres, swimming pools, surf schools, sea fishing, go karting, horse riding and golf. The golf course, which is adjacent to the beach, is within walking distance, as are many of the local attractions. Surrounding the town are many picturesque and secluded villages with quiet spots to get away from the hustle and bustle. Padstow and Watergate Bay are also close by and home to Rick Stein’s and Jamie Oliver’s restaurants (booking essential).
    Further afield will bring you to the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock House and many other National Trust gardens and historic houses.
