Rosary House is a spacious stone farmhouse which was built in 1750 and is located in the quaint village of Irton, 4 miles from the glorious golden Cayton Bay, with the larger coastal destinations of Scarborough and Filey also within a 15-minute drive. This period property offers a unique and cosy stay with an exceptionally large enclosed garden and ample parking. Ideal for large families and groups of friends, especially for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries.
The house sleeps up to eight people comfortably with a kingsize bed, double bed, small double and two single beds. There is a main upstairs bathroom with a bath and a newly fitted downstairs shower room. Each room is well presented with gorgeous original features, such as exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings adding to its charm. The kitchen is well equipped with an Aga, as well as an electric cooker. The owner’s aim is to make this a home from home, and you will find all the facilities and equipment you would expect to find at your own house here too. In summer the beautiful extensive gardens, equipped with a hot tub and gas BBQ can be enjoyed by all. In winter you can cosy up by the two wood burners in either of the sitting rooms, equipped with Smart TVs. There is also an electric double garage available but please request this at the time of booking the key fob can be left for you. There are mountain bikes for guests to enjoy in the end stable but please respect them as if they were your own.
There is something for everyone to enjoy during your stay at Rosary House, with Scarborough only a short 10-minute drive away where you can spend the day at the beach, or check out the impressive views of the coast from Scarborough Castle. You can dine out at one of the many local village pubs in Irton, and the award-winning fish and chip shop which are only a short walk away. If you would like to venture a little further, Whitby is only a 40-minute drive, or you can experience an old-fashioned steam train ride from Pickering to Whitby. Families can enjoy a day out at the Sea Life Centre in Scarborough or Flamingo Land, near Pickering, only 30 minutes away. You can hop on the train to the historical city of York for a day trip and The North York Moors are right on your doorstep for great walking routes. Please note that the small double bedroom is accessed through the double bedroom.

Within minutes of the cottages you are on the RSPB reserve, the cliffs here are a haven for breeding seabird colonies and puffins, whilst the sea below is home to grey seals. The beautiful sandy cove Porth Dafarch is a mile away and just beyond a fine selection of pubs, shops and restaurants in Trearddur Bay.
The bustling port of Holyhead, for day trips to Ireland, is a short drive. Golf, fishing, sailing, pony trekking and the Snowdonia National Park are all easily accessible, as are Conwy, Caernarfon and Beaumaris castles. Spend a day at Plas Newydd Country House and Gardens (National Trust), the home of the Marquess of Anglesey, with spectacular views of Snowdonia across the Menai Straits. Sea The Stars is a versatile three bedroom property sleeping up to seven guests in the traditional Yorkshire seaside town of Hornsea and has a private hot tub. It is just a short 100 yard walk across the green to the beach and seafront amenities, and is the perfect holiday home for family or friends.
Beautifully presented, Sea The Stars is a bright and airy mid-terrace house which benefits from large bay windows, high ceilings and a dog friendly, enclosed garden. On the ground floor is a spacious living room with a flatscreen Smart TV and deep comfortable sofas, one of which provides flexible sleeping for one guest as a sofa bed. The dining room and well-equipped kitchen have access to the garden and lie to the rear of the house. A toilet is tucked away under the stairs. On the first floor are three immaculately furnished bedrooms.
Outside there is a large enclosed paved garden with well-planted borders and shrubberies. Here you can sit and relax with a morning coffee or enjoy an evening of al fresco dining. After a long day on the beach why not enjoy a soak in the relaxing bubbles of the private hot tub?
Just a short walk from the house will find you in the centre of this Victorian coastal town, with an array of shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. Hornsea offers a long sandy beach with a pretty promenade, traditional amusement arcades and a plethora of fish and chip shops and ice cream parlours. Just a short drive is Hornsea Mere, a large, natural lake which provides water sport activities, fishing and bird watching opportunities. The stunning chalk cliffs at Bempton RSPB reserve, home to colonies of sea birds is a bird watchers delight. The unspoilt rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds are a short drive away and provide miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore. The Pink House is a luxurious holiday home, renovated in 2020 and set within Branscombe, which is one of the prettiest villages on the East Devon coast, with a cluster of thatched and stone cottages nestled alongside a narrow lane at the bottom of a wooded valley. Less than a 10 minute easy walk to the beach, boasting a private hot tub, underfloor heating downstairs and four en-suite bedrooms, The Pink House is the ultimate luxurious coastal retreat boasting homeliness and charm which can be felt upon approaching the property, and this continues to the inside.
On entering, guests will love the contemporary open plan living, dining and kitchen areas which are spacious and full of light with a set of bi-fold doors opening out into the garden. The kitchen has everything you need including a Rangemaster electric oven with an induction hob, a built-in microwave, American fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine. The dining area is a great space to enjoy a family meal and after a fun-filled day exploring East Devon, you can kick back on the plush sofas in the living area, relax in front of the wood burner and the watch your favourite movie on the Smart TV with a Sonos sound system. If you don’t feel like cooking, then why not dine in the popular Masons Arms pub next door which serves delicious meals? Stepping outside the property, there is plenty of outdoor seating, a private 5-seater hot tub and a utility room which has a washing machine and sink.
The first of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor with a kingsize zip and link bed which can be split into 2ft6 single beds on request at the time of booking. This room has an en-suite shower room. On the first floor, you will find the other three en-suite bedrooms, two kingsize and one superkingsize with zip and link beds which can be split into 3ft singles on request.
Branscombe boasts a beautiful pebbly beach which is a natural sun trap, and a beautiful coastal path on the Jurassic Coast, just waiting to be explored. The one hour cliffside walk from Branscombe to the quintessential fishing village of Beer is a particular highlight with breathtaking scenery and ocean views. You can explore Heritage coast footpaths from Branscombe and Sidmouth in one direction and Lyme Regis and Seaton in the other. Enjoy freshly caught fish and chips and an ice cream whilst searching for fossils along the Jurassic Coast. The Regency seaside town of Sidmouth is just three miles away where you’ll find a great range of attractions and activities, including a visit to the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary.
