Wainfleet All Saints is a quaint market town with an array of shops, pubs, restaurant and a railway station. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is just 5 miles away, and has a lovely sandy beach and family entertainment, including the Fantasy Island theme park. The National Trust properties of Gunby Hall and Tattershall Castle are within easy driving distance. Visit bird and seal sanctuaries along the coast, or take a trip to medieval Lincoln, with its famous castle and cathedral, just 40 miles away, across the scenic, rolling Lincolnshire Wolds countryside. Set within the grounds of the owners home, alongside two other holiday cottages (Granary Cottage ref UK10695) and (Seaview Cottage ref UK44707), there is a private hot tub, so why not sit back and relax with a glass of wine and star gaze whilst soaking in the hot tub? Inside this beautiful, detached stone cottage, you will find floors of character and charm, with added benefits of beamed ceilings and a warming wood burner. The open plan living/dining room is perfect for socialising and offers a great space for formal dining. After a busy day sightseeing, enjoy relaxing on the decked area in front of your cottage with a glass of wine and take in the views out across the ocean towards the Gower.
Stroll into the coastal hamlet of Amroth and discover the local seafront pubs specialising in fresh, line caught fish and locally sourced produce, and not forgetting some locally brewed ales. There is also an array of cafés, stunning sandy beach, ideal for children to play and build sand castles, and water sports with kayaking, sailing and surfing all on your doorstep. Locally there are a host of walks to discover including the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park footpath, which covers 186 miles of iconic Welsh coastline.
Be sure to explore the 9 acres of grounds around the cottage which include lots of grassed areas for playing ball games and wildlife to keep an eye out for. Locally, the National Trust managed Colby Woodland gardens really is worth a visit. Wander through the vast gardens within the hidden valley, take in the flora and fauna and uncover the secret garden, but be sure to keep an eye out for the array of wildlife. As you enter the recently renovated Harbour Retreat, you find yourself in the downstairs hallway. The fully equipped kitchen is straight ahead and the open bright and airy living/dining area is to your right. The living/dining area leads out onto the pleasant enclosed rear garden via a sliding door, with decked area, hot tub and BBQ as well as part lawn with shrubs; a great area to sit out and enjoy the last of the sun after a long day at the beach! Upstairs is the family walk-in shower room and two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms benefits from a kingsize bed, the second bedroom is a double room but also has a pull out single bed, handy for if friends come to stay. The third bedroom contains bunk beds and is a great children’s room.

Wroxham, 24 minutes’ drive away, is known as ‘capital’ of the Norfolk Broads and offers daily boat hire, river trips, waterside restaurants, cafés, shops (including a supermarket), a miniature village, and a train station with both mainline railway links and which is home to the Bure Valley Steam Gauge railway which visits the villages of Coltishall, Buxton and the market town of Aylsham. Enjoy a day trip to the popular coastal resorts of Cromer, with its famous pier, and Sheringham, which is home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway. Waxham and Horsey offer excellent beaches backed by dunes.
Shopaholics should head to the medieval city of Norwich, 18 miles, with two indoor shopping malls, a market square and plenty of eateries. For those seeking culture and history, why not visit the Blickling Hall Estate, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Gardens or the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections. The young at heart will enjoy a day out at BeWILDerwood in Horning, Roar Dinosaur Adventure Park at Lenwade, Banham Zoo or Amazonia Zoo in Cromer. Owl Cottage is surrounded by open countryside and it’s only a short walk into the pretty village of Flamborough. Here you’ll find a couple of friendly pubs, fish and chip shops, tea rooms and well stocked convenience stores. Take a drive to Flamborough Lighthouse and watch the seals rest at low tide. The Flamborough Heritage Coastline offers miles of walking/cycling opportunities as well as the stunning RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Danes Dyke Nature Reserve is also worth a visit. For two sandy beaches, working harbour and Victorian Promenade take a trip down the coast to Bridlington. Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere House and gardens and Sewerby Hall and garden are close by. The historic city of York is just an hour away and there is a choice of golf courses.

Paignton Place is situated just outside of Paignton town, away from the hustle and bustle while still being within short driving distance of everything the town has to offer. There are nearby shops just down the road from the property and in the opposite direction a local pub/restaurant. Venture into Paignton town to experience the arcades, cinema, crazy golf, beach and pier to name just a few. Whether wanting to experience Paignton itself or explore further afield such as Torquay and Brixham, making up the beautiful English Riviera, Paignton place is a fantastic place to start. Not to mention surrounding areas such as Kingswear, Dartmouth, Teignmouth and the local city of Exeter.

These single-storey terraced properties and delightful Grade II listed thatched cottage are located in the scenic village of Wellow, less than 3 miles from the quaint harbour town of Yarmouth and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the western side of the Isle of Wight. There is a part-time post office service within the grounds and nearby is the Alpaca Farm. The sailing town of Yarmouth is just a 5-minute drive or a 15-minute cycle ride, the sailing town of Cowes is just a 20-minute drive. There is a designated cycle route close by, and many scenic walking routes too, including the Dinosaur Trail, Tennyson Trail and Treasure Trail. There is a choice of challenging off-road bridleways, peaceful byways and level, purpose-made tracks running along former railway lines. You can even take on the full 66-mile ‘Round the Island Route’, as used for the annual Isle of Wight Randonnee.
Close by Colwell Bay offers spectacular views across the Solent to mainland England, with clear, calm waters and gently sloping sand and shingle, an ideal beach for swimming. Or follow the coastline and enjoy a stroll along to Totland Bay, where you can find a bar, restaurant and a café to try the exquisite seafood and experience some of the finest sunsets. For surfers and kite surfing enthusiasts, Compton Bay a short drive away with a 2-mile stretch of contrasting sands, with rolling seas, and a stunning backdrop of multi-coloured sandstone cliffs.
