Pet-friendly Downhouse Cottage was extended in Victorian times, while Downhouse has a rustic feel with a clome oven in the fireplace and a large garden. Both cottages benefit from a sitting-out area with stunning views of the coastline. Surrounded by countryside, they are perfect for walkers to enjoy the views from the South West Coastal Path. Ideally situated for visiting some of the many attractions of Cornwall, including Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, Boscastle with its harbour and Port Isaac, made famous by the TV’s ‘Doc Martin’.     Ruby Farm Cottage nestles behind the main farmhouse and is a stunning traditional granite Cornish Cottage, surprisingly spacious inside with plenty of character features including exposed beams and a stone fireplace (not currently working). Outside there is a terraced patio, complete with table, chairs and a barbecue, a hidden garden can be discovered up some granite steps which is a delightful spot to soak up the evening sunlight while enjoying a glass of wine. To the front of the main farmhouse is a communal area that is shared with the other two cottages at Ruby Farm, Kernyk cottage and Dingley cottage. There are various outdoor games that the family can enjoy & seats to relax on.
    Porkellis is a superb place to stay with stunning access to the bustling port of Falmouth, with it’s vibrant atmosphere, Helford River, one of the most beautiful tidal creeks in the country made famous by Daphne Du Mauriers’ classic novel Frenchman’s Creek, and onwards to the untamed beauty and splendour of the Lizard peninsula.

The living room is split into two areas, has super comfy, large sofas to sink into while you kick back and watch your favourite programmes on the Smart TV, plus a quiet area for reading the latest novel or perhaps playing a board game or two.


    There is a spacious, stylish family bathroom and three sumptuous bedrooms. All have quality towels and bed linen, built in wardrobes and quite incredible sea views. The largest has a majestic kingsize bed, followed by a delightful room with glorious double bed and a cosy single room. Outside, your private garden wraps around the house and boasts gated access via steps to the quiet part of Duporth Beach, a very special feature, perfect for a beachside walk, with the waves gently lapping the shore. The access path and steps are steep, so may not be suitable for those with restricted mobility, however the area has many beaches with easier access.


    Venture away from this gorgeous haven and the area will delight in every direction. Just 5 minutes’ walk away, discover Charlestown, a bustling fishing village and harbour full of interesting shops, cosmopolitan cafes, amazing restaurants, and bars. Enjoy an afternoon shopping in St Austell, from where there are superb train links. The world-famous Eden Project, with its huge biomes above the world’s largest indoor rainforest is a must visit, whilst the magic of over 200 acres of ancient gardens can be explored in the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
