This part of the country draws visitors from around the world to savour its natural landscape and enjoy some of the many local outdoor activities available in the area. Historic locations also feature prominently as both Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne’s Holy Island are close by. All three beautifully presented bedrooms are situated on the first floor along with a pristine family bathroom. The cottage sits at the end of a terrace only a gentle stroll from Craster sea shore. The lovely garden is full of mature shrubs and flowers and has a patio area suitable for dining al fresco. There is also a gorgeous summer house (The Beach Hut), an idyllic spot to snuggle in and relax. Bramble Cottage is a mere gentle stroll from the seashore of Craster. This picturesque coastal village is home to the renowned ‘Craster Kipper’; a smoked fish exported to food lovers across the country. Bramble Cottage has a private and gated drive for one vehicle only. If guests plan to bring a second vehicle or have visitors then the only option for this is the public car park, which is 220 yards away by foot and which costs £6.50 per day per car to park. This car park will become busy during peak periods, and there is no other public parking in the village.
    There is a small, pretty harbour close by with a view northward along the rocky shore to the spectacular ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle. Explore the 20 miles of Northumberland Heritage Coastline recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its walking trails and cycling routes. The welcoming village of Embleton is only 3 miles north with its wide sweep of golden sandy beach which has won the public poll of ‘Beach of the Year’ in the 2017 BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards. Beadnell Bay is a further 4 miles north and a popular destination for water-sports enthusiasts, including sailing, sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba diving. Two miles further up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly from its harbour. The picture perfect village of Bamburgh, snuggled in the shadow of its majestic castle is a further 3 miles north. With chickens, horses and some pet sheep, children and, of course adults are welcome to visit the animals once the owner has explained the workings of the farm. A real bonus is the quirky little shepherds hut to the side of the cottage which is perfect for sitting in and watching the sunsets, chilled with a book or glass of wine, it’s a lovely extra. The owners have given attention to detail to provide the comforts in this homely property, which is all on one level. The two gardens for relaxing are lovely if you want to stay in or a bonus to come back to after a day out exploring where you can admire some countryside views. Most of the windows have views of either animals, countryside or the garden.
    There are ample supermarkets, local shops, and restaurants all within a few minutes drive and the Metro is easily reached for exploring further afield. Within a few minutes are plenty of village pubs and only a little further you have Tynemouth with award-winning beaches and Whitley Bay, both with lovely promenades and cafés. There really is something for everyone in and around the location no matter what your age, the whole of Northumberland is easily reached from here. Each lodge boasts a super, open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The living area is spacious and comfortable with a wood burner and views out across the fields. The furnishings are of an excellent standard and the kitchens are fully fitted with all appliances including gas hob, electric oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The family bathrooms all boast a great shower, heated towel rail and ample storage space for toiletries. Coria Lodge (ref UKC4416) has been adapted to accomodate wheelchair users, with disabled parking, extra wide ramp access, widened doorways, raised electrical sockets and hoist facilities. The low level entry bathroom has a large shower with bi-folding doors allowing wheelchair access, a grab rail and raised toilet. Each detached lodge also offers a private, 6-seater hot tub (Coria Lodge, ref UKC4416, has a hoist rail system installed) and garden area with garden furniture for sitting out and enjoying the location. These properties are for families and couple bookings only, bookings for party purposes such as stag or hen parties are not accepted.

Within five minutes you can walk to Little Shore Beach with its row of pretty pastel coloured beach huts that you can rent from the Harbour Master for a round £20.00 per day. Two minute’ s walk from Number 8 will take you to The Braid which is a grass area ideal for walking dogs which runs adjacent to Amble Marina and continues along the footpath past Coquet Yacht Club towards the village of Warkworth with its impressive castle. There’s a local Sunday market held every week on the old quayside, which is lovely to wander around as well as a little ‘Harbour Village’ with tiny boutique-style independent shops operating out of pods resembling old fishermens’ huts.
    The views from the quayside are spectacular – of the estuary, impressive Warkworth Castle, Coquet Island and of course the beautiful sea, and the walk along the harbour front to the interesting Marina is just lovely – follow it with lunch or dinner in one of the super little eateries on the quayside.
