Through the kitchen, the enclosed garden awaits, offering a spot for al fresco moments with outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh country air. Ascending to the first floor, discover the thoughtfully arranged sleeping quarters. A kingsize bedroom awaits, complemented by a snug single bedroom. The family bathroom, complete with both a bath and a shower cubicle, provides a private oasis for relaxation. Venturing up to the second floor, a spacious kingsize bedroom welcomes you with open arms. The attic setting adds a touch of seclusion, ensuring a peaceful night’s rest.
Embark on a week of exploration, starting with the enchanting Georgian Bath just 14 miles away. Discover Roman baths, pump rooms, Pultney Bridge, and The Royal Crescent. Nearby Bradford upon Avon showcases Saxon, medieval, and Tudor heritage. The surrounding countryside is a haven for walkers and cyclists, offering numerous trails leading to National Trust properties like Lacock Abbey, Fox Talbot Museum, Stourhead, and Dyrham Park. Within 13 miles lies the captivating Longleat Safari and Adventure Park, a delightful experience for all ages. The Old Smithy provides a perfect base for accessing major attractions such as Longleat, Stonehenge, Glastonbury, Salisbury, Cotswold Water Park, Bowood, Devizes, Weston-Super-Mare, Wells, Cheddar Gorge, and Wookey Hole.

Enjoying uninterrupted views of the award-winning Mawgan Porth beach, this fantastic beach house is surrounded by a third of an acre of beautifully kept gardens with a large, sea facing, sun trap decking area, overlooking gently sloping lawns and a pretty stream that trickles down to the sea below. Solar panels help heat the house and water while providing free electrical car charging for our guests’ electric vehicle.

Over the past year (2022), the house has been renovated to the highest standards by one of the country’s leading interior designers and offers plenty of living space all benefitting from exceptional sea views and floor to ceiling sliding doors leading to a large decking area. The large circular fireplace makes for cosy evenings during the Autumn and Winter months. The brand-new handmade kitchen is well supplied with all creature comforts from a juicer to a selection of coffee machines, including a Nespresso. A door leads into a separate TV room with a big corner sofa, both with fabulous sea views and door to the terrace. Three ground floor bedrooms, ome with chandelier, two with those stunning views. A beautiful glass and oak staircase leads from the entrance hall up to the first floor where you will find three more bedrooms; a double bedroom with en-suite shower room; a large twin bedroom with large en-suite shower room, and one with a TV and sofa bed which enjoys the best views of all.

The beach is just a 5-minute walk away from the garden gate. Off the drive, there is a lawned area and to the side of the house a heated outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. The equipment store has a range of children’s wetsuits and storage for boards. Once cleaned off, you can luxuriate in the state-of-the-art Aspen and Spruce spa with a sauna, experiential shower plus cold water bucket for the brave. Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west facing beach, stunning scenery, wondrous walks, superb surfing, an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket, including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafés, and takeaways all within walking distance of Blue Seas. This eco-friendly barn conversion is over 200 years old and oozes charm and character, retaining many original features, including exposed stone walls, vaulted beamed ceilings, stone flag flooring and a woodburner. This holiday property is located on a working arable farm and is surrounded by uninterrupted views towards the sea and Whitby in an idyllic rural setting, just 4 miles from the centre of Whitby on the edge of the quaint hamlet of Sneatonthorpe and 1 mile from the village of Sneaton. Sneaton boasts a friendly pub, ice cream parlour, charming tea rooms and a warm welcome from the locals. Bridle paths, cycle tracks and walkways abound from the door, with the ancient Monks Pathway being a favourite with walkers visiting this area. Whitby is a fantastic destination for holidaymakers with the steam train departing throughout the summer on its way to Grosmont and Goathland – those famous villages used in the TV series ‘Heartbeat’. Also, Whitby boasts a colourful harbour, 3 miles of sandy beach, the 12th century Abbey ruins and St Marys Church. The town also hosts many festivals throughout the year with folk weekends, 60’s music festivals and Goth weekends, bringing guests from far and wide. Mortar Barn is the ideal place for exploring both the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the Heritage Coast of Yorkshire. Scarborough has been welcoming guests for more than 300 years and has all the ingredients for a family packed day at the seaside, with Filey and Bridlington a little further along the coast line. Closer to home, is the smugglers coves of Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes, where pretty cottages cling to cliffs and time appears to have stood still. Discover little villages tucked away deep in the valleys as you explore the North Yorkshire’s heather clad moors. Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Set in a small hamlet, these carefully converted holiday cottages form a courtyard development where every care has been taken with the design, internal furnishings and their impact on the environment. Bell’s Barn (prop ref 25899) stands detached from the other cottages and is suitable for wheelchair users. There is also enclosed paddock where your dogs can run free! Just a short walk from Crakehall, claimed to be one of the prettiest villages in the Dales, with a large village green overlooked by an imposing manor house where cricket and quoits teams often play. Nearby, the historic town of Bedale, 2½ miles, offers a weekly market every Tuesday and various events during the year, together with a range of individual shops, restaurants and pubs. Masham, renowned for the Black Sheep Brewery, is 10 minutes’ drive and Richmond with its Norman castle, Georgian architecture and thriving theatre is also easily accessible. Historic York and its many attractions is within easy driving distance. Alternatively, just enjoy the wonderful Yorkshire countryside either by car, bicycle or on foot. Shop and pub ¾ mile. Green Oak Cottage offers stylish accommodation, enjoys wonderful country views and is set in picturesque Dorset countryside. It is in the heart of what was the Royal Stud and is in a great location to explore this wonderful area, with Sherborne to the west, Shaftesbury to the east and Wincanton to the north.
Green Oak Cottage is linked to the owners’ home and is beautifully furnished with original artworks. It has a comfortable interior; on the ground floor is an open plan living space with French doors which open onto a private patio and undisturbed views. There’s also a ground floor shower room. Heading upstairs are two bedrooms: one double and one twin, and a bathroom with bath, basin and toilet.
The property sits on the edge of cider orchards and there are lovely long walks across the Blackmore Vale with several footpaths within easy reach which lead down into the village of Buckhorn Weston and the local pub for wining and dining. Within easy driving there is much to enjoy, whether taking in the lovely character towns of Sherborne, with its shops, castle and abbey, or Shaftesbury with its links to Hovis and the famous Gold Hill. You can enjoy visiting nearby attractions, such as National Trust Stourhead House and Gardens, Longleat House and Safari Park, Haynes International Motor Museum or the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum. Further afield you can venture to the city of Bath, with its Georgian architecture, Salisbury with its fascinating cathedral city and spire, and many more exciting places. This super, unique, detached beach house includes two converted railway carriages, one of only a few to be seen along the south coast and enjoys a fabulous location directly on the seafront. Step onto the pebble beach via your private gate from the enclosed garden and enjoy miles of pebble/sandy beach – a haven for all ages, including children and dogs all year round! From the front it is deceptive, having been substantially extended, but once you approach the side entrance, the original features can be easily seen. Inside, the traditional carriage doors remain, and many of the rooms are set inside the former train carriages. Southern Bell offers tastefully styled, light, and airy holiday accommodation for families - with an enclosed patio garden, plenty of off-road parking and a short walk from the local shops, eateries/pubs, and harbour/sailing club. Hayling Island is renowned for its kitesurfing and sailing activities and local paddle - boarding and windsurfing lessons are available close by. Every year there is a national kitesurfing event, and a plethora of sailing and nautical activity can be seen along the coastline. Many activities can be enjoyed locally, including golf, fishing, cycling, boat trips and scenic walks along the water’s edge or along the South Downs National Park which are within easy reach. Chichester with its beautiful cathedral, festival theatre, pedestrianised shopping, leisure centre, Roman Villa and Goodwood or Fontwell races is worthy of a visit. Visit Portsmouth with waterside dining, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight, designer outlets, leisure facilities, Spinnaker Tower, Historic Dockyard including HMS Victory and the Mary Rose, or the maritime history at Southampton. Winchester, with its cathedral and abbey, and The New Forest are within easy driving distance. Plenty of National Trust homes and gardens can also be discovered nearby. Beach 5 yards. The property provides driveway parking for one car, with additional street parking available if needed.
There is ample to do in the area to make your stay fun filled and memorable. Take a stroll through the local nature reserve, visit Chesterfield town centre known for its iconic crooked spire, where you can enjoy shopping and cafés. The Peak District is home to Chatsworth House, a magnificent stately home with stunning gardens and beautiful art collections; it is a must visit for history and architecture enthusiast. There are many different walks to be enjoyed around the entirety of the Peak District. Through the fields alongside unused railway tracks and hilly trails, there’s plenty of countryside to see along the way whichever route you take. You can easily fill your time in Derbyshire with activities to suit all your party with the knowing of having Red Robin Cottage to return to at the end of the day to relax and unwind in comfort.
