Enter onto the ground floor where you will find the majority of the bedrooms. Each bedroom on this floor has an en-suite shower room; there are two triple rooms all having single beds, a twin room, and a double. The bedrooms have high quality wooden beds and are light and airy and make for a comfortable night’s sleep. On the first floor you will be greeted by high ceilings and wooden beams running throughout, the fifth bedroom is found on this floor, which is a double, along with a bathroom. The kitchen has a great atmosphere and is a perfect social space so you can all be involved, it has a large oak dining table to comfortably seat all twelve guests. The doors are kept open into the living room which is very impressive, it features ample seating, lots of space and a wood burner. The barn has the fantastic addition of a games room across the courtyard with a table football and pool table. Littonfields Barn is located in a private courtyard with ample parking for up to six cars, a bike store and bike and boot washing facilities with a dryer racks. There is a pretty, raised patio area with table and chairs which is the perfect spot for your morning coffee or a family barbecue.
    There is a country pub close by serving great food as well as a local shop open seven days a week. There are many wonderful walks straight from the door, and walks from the property include the Litton Loop which is a lovely circular route direct from the barn which takes the Cressbrook Dale, Litton Edge and a few cafés and pubs along the way. The High Peak, Monsall and Tissington Trails are a short drive from the property plus there are many places for cycle hire.     Doves Nest is a wonderful property located just outside of Ashbourne’s town centre, the perfect location to explore the town and all it has to offer whilst being able to return to this quiet nest come the end of the day. Ashbourne has a good selection of independent and high street shops, supermarkets, leisure centres, bars and restaurants to be enjoyed, as well as being one of the best locations in the Peaks for walking and cycling.
    Just a short drive from the house is Dovedale, known famously for its unique feature of stepping stones across the River Dove, where you can take a fantastic walk to Ilam and across Thorpe Cloud where your views are stunning, the Tissington Trail also has a great route and perfect for cycling, as well as Carsington Water which is an 8-mile stretch around the reservoir which also offers many water sports. Alton Towers is a keen favourite for holidaymakers staying in Ashbourne as it is just a short 15-minute drive away to adrenaline fun. There are plenty of options here for all the family and friends to ensure you are all making memorable moments together.
    Doves Nest offers modern and spacious accommodation for up to ten guests. On the ground floor is an open plan kitchen/dining room with bi-fold doors opening out into the extensive garden making a great hub for you to gather and enjoy your social time. You will find an enclosed terrace at the front of the house, another sunny seating area with a former billiard table providing the vast outdoor table, and pizzas can be cooked in the outdoor pizza oven. A grassed orchard with established fruit trees completes the outdoor space, and ample off street parking is provided.

    Within a few minutes walking distance is the local village pub serving fine cask ales and food. The market town of Belper stands at the heart of the Derwent Valley which was granted World Heritage Site status in 2001. The Derwent Valley Visitor Centre located within the Strutt’s North Mill gives visitors the chance to see inside the mill, cotton spinning, and discover more about the town’s history and the industrial revolution. Belper River Gardens offers visitors a tranquil setting to view the River Derwent and is located adjacent the Strutt’s historic North Mill and dominant red bricked East Mill. The industrial-inspired children’s play area and café are open all year, whilst in the summer months, rowing boat hire, and brass bands playing in the bandstand can be enjoyed.
    Belper town centre, winner of the 2020 Champion High Street Award for England, boasts many independent shops, cafés, pubs, bars and a cinema.

    Traditional towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell are nearby. The magnificent Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Pooles Cavern are just a few of the attractions, and Matlock Bath is only a 20-minute drive, well known for its riverside parade of fish and chip shops, arcades, cable cars and aquarium.
