Ringland Cottage is a beautiful property in the village of Ringland, comfortably sleeping ten persons. It boasts a huge lawned garden at the rear, with direct rear access to farm tracks which extend for miles for picturesque walks within the Wensum valley. Situated in the centre of the village directly off the village green and a 1-minute walk from the River Green with the River Wensum, a local beauty spot and hugely popular place to fish, paddleboard, and kayak. Ringland is a super location, being rural but a less than 5-minute drive to Taverham with all its shops and facilities. Easy 15-minute access to Norwich, 35 minutes to coastal resorts and 20 minute access to the Norfolk Broads, therefore providing a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy all year round.
The house itself offers a well-equipped modern kitchen. The dining table offers comfortably seating for up to ten adults, the large secure rear lawned garden is perfect for al fresco cooking and dining or simply lounge and enjoy the tranquil countryside setting while the children and your four-legged members of the family play.
When it comes to exploring the surrounding areas, Ringland’s proximity to Norwich city is a definite plus. Norwich, a vibrant city with a rich history, provides various attractions such as Norwich Castle, Norwich Cathedral, and the beautiful, cobbled streets of Elm Hill. You can also indulge in shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Additionally, the house is in easy reach of the coastal resorts, allowing you to experience the beauty of Norfolk’s coastline. There are several picturesque coastal towns and beaches to visit, such as Great Yarmouth, Cromer, Sheringham and Wells next-to-Sea. You can enjoy beach activities, coastal walks, and delicious seafood. Overall, Ringland Cottage is an ideal holiday destination where you can have a memorable and enjoyable getaway for all who visit. ’Still waters, scudding sails, stately swans and blissful peace – the magic of the Broads on your doorstep...’ Making a perfect base for a Broadland holiday, these four lodges are set right on the banks of the River Bure and Daisy Broad, in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Not only are these properties close to the river, but the owner also owns other riverfront so if guests have a valid fishing licence and bring their own equipment, they can fish easily nearby.
Each lodge has a lawned area beside the river, and are designed in ‘upside-down’ style, enjoying an upstairs sitting-room leading on to a furnished balcony, where guests can relax in style and enjoy the sights and sounds of the river. All the lodges have been furnished and equipped to four star standard.
Day motor launches that accommodate up to 8 passengers are included free of charge with each property and these can be moored alongside the lodges. The motor launch is chargeable during Whitsun and Summer Holidays, direct from the owner at a preferential rate.
The properties are situated in Wroxham which is well known as the ‘Capital of the Broads’ and has a selection of cafes, restaurants and shops within a few minutes’ walk. The wider area is also criss-crossed by numerous footpaths and cycling trails. One of the best ways to enjoy the Broads is on the water by motor launch, or take one of the organised day trips arranged by the neighbouring boatyard. On the water, the beauty of the Broads can be truly experienced with its extensive wildlife (ducks, geese, swans, spoonbills and herons) and its sleepy Broads villages with their pretty flint cottages and attractive churches.

The coast is within easy reach (12 miles) with lovely sandy beaches and a string of villages spreading northwards to the bustling sea towns of Cromer and Sheringham. Alternatively, Norwich is less than 10 miles away with its cathedral, castle, museums, theatres, excellent shops and restaurants. National Trust properties well worth a visit are Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall, both within easy reach. Nearest shops are 500 yards. Moorings for motor launches are outside the property and life jackets are available free of charge. Pet life jackets available on arrival for a refundable £10 deposit. These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 32 guests.

Set amidst rolling countryside, this detached, 16th-century holiday cottage, one of the oldest cottages in Wickmere, is full of character and charm, with its beamed interior and inglenook fireplace with wood burner. Furnished and equipped to a very good standard, it enjoys a private enclosed garden with a patio terrace and furniture. There are many excellent walking and cycling opportunities with quiet lanes and designated trails direct from the doorstep. Visit bustling market towns, pretty villages and excellent sandy beaches. The seaside towns of Sheringham, 8 miles, and Cromer, 9 miles, offer an array of activities for all ages and excellent beaches. Other places to visit include Holt, Blakeney Quay and Norwich with its excellent shopping, cathedral, theatre, castle, museum, cafes and restaurants. National Trust properties include Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park. Wroxham, 18 miles, is the capital of the Norfolk Broads and has miles of inland waterways, where daily boat hire and river trips are available, as well as delightful waterside cafes, restaurants and shops. Seagulls enjoys far-reaching, spectacular views across the Blakeney salt-marshes from full-length windows in the first floor living room. It is set at the end of a quiet no-through road with a secluded garden. Over the road is the village playing field with tennis courts. Inside, the house is warm, convenient and attractive - practical for families with children, yet well-furnished to be relaxing and comfortable for the older generation. The well-equipped retro kitchen leads to the dining room which boasts a cosy wood burner.
Blakeney Quay is a short walk past the village shop (with bacon for the ever-obliging crabs). From here is access to the marsh or up to the village. Blakeney is a bird-watcher’s paradise; the coastal path runs in front of the house, there are seals at Blakeney Point, and it is surrounded by beautiful countryside walks. The historic little town of Holt is close by and offers a range of shops, pubs, restaurants, cafés and weekly markets. Within a few minutes’ drive is Holt Lowes, an area renowned for wildlife, designated as both a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Special Area of Conservation. Also worth a visit is Holt Country Park with its wealth of bird life, as well as other RSPB reserves. The region has several stately homes such as NT Blickling and Felbrigg Halls, Holkham Hall and Houghton Hall. Other interesting days out include visits to Sheringham Park, and Walsingham Shrine and Priory ruins. Sheringham offers golf and is home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, Splash aqua pool, a promenade and a pier. Within easy driving distance is Norwich with its excellent shopping, restaurants, cathedral, theatre, pubs, cinema and markets. Wells-next-the-Sea is 5 miles and Holkham’s vast sandy beach is just 8 miles. Windsurfing, dinghy launching, sailing and boat trips are all available locally. Shops 100 yards.

This wonderful period detached cottage stands alone surrounded by its own large 3½-acre lawned garden and woodland, and boasts a tennis court and a games room in a separate annexe, with a full size snooker table (for adult use only), sauna, table tennis and football goals which can be set up in the garden. Guests should bring their own equipment for tennis and table tennis. Tucked away at the end of an unmade lane completely surrounded by woodland and countryside, the cottage’s location is perfect for nature lovers. It is also ideally located for exploring the North Norfolk coast and countryside. The area is famous for its natural sandy beaches, numerous National Trust properties, stately homes, RSPB birdwatching spots and outstanding nature reserves.

The living room has a traditional open fire, comfy chairs and a snug leading off. During the winter months, guests can enjoy nights by the fire or the baby grand piano! There is a large dining room with a woodburner and is ideal for enjoying family meals. The kitchen with pine table at one end caters for larger families and groups. There is also a shower room with toilet. A staircase leads off the dining room to five bedrooms and a family bathroom. One of the double bedrooms has en-suite facilities, and all rooms offer beautiful views across the fields and the cottage garden.

The cottage benefits from a lovely large garden and large seating terrace with well (grid placed in well for safety), and there is ample parking on the drive for many cars. The cottage is in a good location for exploring and is only a short drive from the quaint coastal town of Blakeney and close to Wells-next-the-Sea with its outstanding sandy beach. There are miles of heritage coastline, with creeks, marshes, cliffs, beaches and dunes to explore. Discover Holkham and Blakeney National Nature Reserves, including the renowned Blakeney Point, which are both ideal for bird and seal watching. Visit Cley Marshes, Titchwell Marsh and Snettisham Nature Reserves, and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, which is only a 15-minute drive from the cottage. There are plenty of historical places to visit, with Sandringham Estate, Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall all within easy reach. The Norfolk Coastal Path stretches for miles and there are many delightful cycle rides, including Peddars Way, which passes to the west of the cottage through Harpley, Docking and Sedgeford to Hunstanton, where it joins the Norfolk Coastal Path. The Poppy Line Steam Railway and Norfolk Broads are within easy reach. The renowned village of Holt is only 6 miles away with its cafés, boutiques, galleries and antique shops. Horse riding, horse racing and golf are all within easy reach. Shop 3½ miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

All three apartments offer spacious open-plan living/dining rooms with Smart TVs and well equipped kitchens. The owner really does want you to have a lovely stay and has provided everything needed for a really great holiday.
If you can tear yourself away from these delightful retreats you will find yourself spoilt for choice when it comes to things to see and do. Take a stroll along the Edwardian Promenade, have a coffee on the famous pier and do a spot of people-watching or enjoy that glorious beach. Cromer also has a zoo, traditional seaside amusements, crazy golf and a cinema and offers a myriad of great places to shop, eat and drink with every taste catered for. But venture a little further and you will find dramatic coastlines, salt and clay marshes, picturesque quays, creeks and pretty little harbours all waiting to be explored.
Those wishing to see the Norfolk Broads can find themselves there in around thirty minutes and the up-and-coming city break destination of Norwich is just 45 minutes away. You can even see both by train from Cromer station. Add in great golf courses, including some cliff top ones with views to die for, history galore with the Blickling and Holkham Estates and the Muckleburgh and Thursford Collections, the latter with its Christmas Spectacular and you’ll soon be ready to book again, just to fit it all in. When you do return, you will no doubt return to Sugar and Spice Tower because it is just lovely! And all three apartments can be booked together to accommodate up to 20 guests, while maintaining your own space making this a truly flexible destination.

Gooderstone Water Gardens, Church Farm Rare Breeds Petting Farm, High Lodge at Thetford Forest hosts Summer concerts and ’Go Ape’ extreme adventure trails. Kings Lynn Corn Exchange Theatre and Arts Centre has an exciting family friendly programme of events. Two golf courses at Denver and Swaffham. The coastline has excellent sandy beaches and salt marshes nature reserves to explore; Snettisham is the closest sandy beach. The traditional seaside resorts of Hunstanton and Heacham.
