The owner has created a well equipped holiday ‘home’ with very high standard décor and furnishings. It is situated in the pretty village of Seamer, just 4 miles from the seaside town of Scarborough. The village has local pubs that serve traditional pub food and fine dining. There’s a small supermarket and post office as well as a fish and chip shop, all within walking distance. Lovely garden centre approx 1 mile.
Aysgarth Lodge has a large, enclosed garden, perfect for the dog or the children. There is a lawned area as well as patio with a wonderful hot tub to relax in after a busy day visiting the coast. The open plan kitchen/living area has a contemporary feel and features a cosy wood burner in the corner.
There are plenty of beaches to choose from Scarborough North and South Bays, Cayton Bay, Filey, Hunmanby, Reightons and slightly further Flamborough, Bridlington, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Visit Scarborough’s historic Castle, Rotunda Museum, Sealife Centre or Peasholm Park. Enjoy fun filled family time at Scarborough Waterpark Alpamare, or relax in their luxury Wellness Spa above with its fantastic sauna overlooking the sea. Like a concert - look up Scarborough Open Air Theatre for Summer acts, also Scarborough Spa Theatre and Stephen Joesph Theatre (round theatre) for all year round entertainment.
For those of you who enjoy bird watching there’s the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs where you can view thousands of migrating seabirds from the cliff top viewing points. People travel from all over to watch the comical puffins. The cyclists amongst you can enjoy some of the routes from the Tour de Yorkshire, as well as the wonderful Dalby Forest, home to miles and miles of mountain bike tracks. With over 8,000 acres of woodland pathways there’s plenty of woodland walks to enjoy, as well as the Cleveland Way. Aysgarth Lodge provides an excellent base to enjoy a golf tour of the North East Coast or play in the historic Scarborough golf week.
Yorkshire is famous for its market towns, Pickering, Malton, Beverley and Driffield are all a short drive from Aysgarth Lodge. In the village you will find a supermarket, post office, traditional pub, bistro pub, fish and chip shop and a church 100-400 yards. There is a garden centre. 10-15 minute flat walk which has a lovely café. Supermarket and fast food outlets within a 5 minute drive, all in the same place. You should not be disappointed with your stay as there’s something for all age groups and tastes. Beach 4½ miles. Shop 250 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Aptly named ‘Sea Views Three - 38’, this gorgeous holiday cottage resides within a peaceful cul-de-sac on the dramatic headland of Knipe Point, just to the south of the historic coastal town of Scarborough. This is the ideal location for exploring the dramatic Yorkshire Coastline, and only a short stroll away from the beach following the steps down from the cliff top. The Cleveland Way passes by the doorstep, taking you along the coast and then inland into the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
The Yorkshire coastline draws guests back year after year, with welcoming locals, fresh local seafood, a fascinating seafaring history as well as many picturesque views. Here at Sea Views Three - 38 you can enjoy the scenery from the comfort of the living room, with glass patio doors making the most of the views. The living room has two large three seater sofas and a wide screen TV. This is open plan with the dining area, with its extending table, perfect for entertaining over a bottle of wine. The owners have provided lots of additional extras to make your stay more comfortable, including plenty of books to choose from. The modern kitchen is generously equipped, ready to create all of your favourite meals. Set all on the ground floor, here are two good sized bedrooms, comprising a kingsize and a double, as well as a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Outside is a second side garden, with another patio area. There is also a hose for cleaning walking boots as well as bikes, plus a shed with sun loungers and other beach equipment for you to use. Nearby there is much to see and do, including beautiful bays and beaches, such as Filey with over 5 miles of golden sand. There are local surf schools, where you can have lessons or hire surf and paddle boards. Visit Scarborough with its Sea life centre, open air theatre, Peasolm Park with oriental gardens and paddle boats, and Alpamare Water Park and Spa. For nature lovers you have Bempton Cliffs RSPB bird centre, with nesting puffins and gannets.
Flamborough Head is beautiful with dramatic white cliffs, seals and an iconic lighthouse. The stately homes of Sewerby Hall or Castle Howard are ideal for a day out, or you can explore the nearby North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The nearby village of Thornton Le Dale is a great spot to start your national park adventure, where you can enjoy an ice cream as you take in the scenery venturing out on one of the many walking trails onto the moors. In front of the fireplace there are two sofas, where you can relax in comfort in an evening. The bedrooms are both beautifully presented, there is a twin room as well as the master king bedroom complete with a walk-in wardrobe as well as an en-suite shower. There is also a second family shower room. Outside there is garden furniture on the decking where you can enjoy dining al-fresco when the sun is out. The hot tub is sure to be one of the highlights of your stay, all year round you can relax in the warm, steaming water, whilst the jets and bubbles gently massage you.
You are in an ideal spot for holidays in the countryside, with lakes nearby where you can try your hand at fishing, as well as a golf course only 10 minutes away. Around 15 minutes away is Malton which is described as the food capital of Yorkshire, with a great choice of restaurants as well as a monthly market, an annual food festival as well as a cookery school. The surrounding national park is laced with walking trails, with a heritage steam train winding its way through the heather to the coast which is a great way to take in the sights. You also have the stunning Yorkshire coastline which is just waiting to be explored, with Scarborough, Flamingo Land Theme Park, Robin Hoods Bay, and Whitby all within easy reach.
