Head over to the stunning Northumberland Heritage Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with miles of golden beaches, peppered with historic castles, or head west over to Hadrian’s Wall area where you can spend time walking some of the ancient wall. Or perhaps stop off at one of the Roman Forts. Felton is only a few minutes from Alnwick, home still to the Duke of Northumberland who resides in part of the majestic castle. Some scenes from Harry Potter and Downton Abbey were filmed within the castle walls. Discover the cobbled streets, with a great choice of pubs and cafes.
