    The Sanctuary is a beautiful barn conversion which offers a comfortable stay in the Medieval hamlet of Burton Pedwardine, which can trace its history back to before the Norman Conquest and is mentioned in The Domesday Book. The characterful property is set on the owners’ sheep sanctuary and has been stylishly decorated and furnished with a unique flourish (the owners are artists), giving a relaxing home-from-home feeling.
    The Sanctuary offers a luxury holiday retreat whilst being ideally located to explore all that Lincolnshire has to offer. The locale is steeped in history and the land is the predominant site of the original medieval village complete with an 11 meter deep well, the village pond and the old road running diagonally across. The Sanctuary is built with salvaged materials from outbuildings which once stood adjacent to the main house and on part of the old village green. The owners built a barn-style property with a double-height ceiling and the slate roof was salvaged from the nearby Victorian Schoolhouse.The property is entered directly into the bright and spacious living area. There is a cosy sitting area which boasts a stunning wood burner providing additional heat and charm along with a Smart TV ideal for kicking back and relaxing in comfort. In the same open-plan space, there is a warm dining area which seats six and a coffee/tea station on the way to the well-equipped, well-presented kitchen with plenty of space for food preparation should you not wish to dine at the many eateries close by. On the same floor is a lovely bathroom with a generous shower. Within a 40-minute drive are Lincoln, Grantham and Newark with their castles and cathedrals.
