There are many exciting and beautiful cycle paths straight from your door or try the world famous 7Stanes challenge. There is an abundance of local lochs and rivers if fishing is preferred! The cottage is only a few minutes drive from the charming town of Gatehouse of Fleet which offers a wide range of places to eat and relax. Maggie’s Den is in the heart of Gatehouse of Fleet, a delightful village in this beautiful part of South West Scotland. This spacious cottage, originally the old dairy house, is set on a working farm specialising in prize winning Belted Galloways and has lovely views over open countryside and a fantastic hot tub from which to relax and enjoy the views. Situated next door to the owner, the cottage is only a 5-minute drive to the popular town of Newton Stewart with shops, cafés, restaurants, a cinema and swimming pool. The location is very popular with walkers and cyclists with Glentrool, Kirroughtree and the 7Stanes mountain bike trails nearby, as well as a great choice of golf courses.
