Whilst this isn’t a coastal destination, you may think twice if you stumble across Matlock Bath, with its seaside-like row of amusement arcades and fish and chip shops. Also close by is the Heights of Abraham, sure to make for a great day out if you like caverns and cable cars that is - there’s something for everyone here and the scenery is not to be missed. Not forgetting about the sheer beauty of your surroundings; walking and cycling in this area proves to be popular and there are lots of unique country pubs around to finish your adventure with a reward. This fantastic Grade II listed farm house building is bursting with character. It is spacious and has social rooms to be enjoyed, plus extensive gardens with beautiful views down the valley. The ground floor of this home offers a typical farmhouse style kitchen with traditional Rayburn and dining table in the centre of the room, there is an electric/gas range cooker also available, plus everything else you should need to cook up a great meal for all. There is a dining room, a sitting room with a wood burner, a further living room with a TV and an extensive DVD selection, a utility with additional fridge and freezer space, washing machine and tumble dryer, plus hanging space to dry clothes. There are also two downstairs toilets, plus a double bedroom. On the first floor are the remainder of the bedrooms, one having an en-suite. Tissington has a lot to offer; it is the home of the well-dressing event, Tissington Hall, and the Tissington Trail is one of the best walking and cycling routes in the Peak District. Another fantastic walk from Tissington is to Dovedale, where the famous Dovedale stepping stones are. Alton Towers is a 25 minute drive which makes a great day out for all the family. This truly is a fantastic property to return back to after you have finished exploring for the day.
