With a good range of small, mostly independent shops, including a great little artisan bakery, excellent butchers, local seafood bought straight from the harbour, a superb Italian and an Indian restaurant, award-winning seafood restaurants and one of the best traditional fish and chip shops in the North East on the quayside, it’s a fascinating little fishing port. Within five minutes you can walk to Little Shore Beach with its row of pretty pastel coloured beach huts that you can rent from the Harbour Master for a round £20.00 per day.
