These delightful holiday properties have been decorated and furnished to a very good standard. Set in 27-acres of Cornish countryside, Woodside Stables holiday cottages each have private, enclosed garden areas set around large communal grounds for everyone to enjoy. The outdoor space includes a large lawn area, play area and access to a woodland walk and field. Woodside Stables has been designed to suit all visiting guests from families, couples, children, grandparents and of course you can bring your dog too! Chestnut Cottage has the added bonus of a private hot tub to enjoy all year round.

Well Farmhouse (ref UK11880) is ideally suited to families and is the largest of the five cottages set in an attractive courtyard setting. There are three bedrooms and a charming living room with an open fireplace.
Rivendell Glamping Pod (ref UK11881) is unique in design and provides the opportunity to enjoy glamping in style. Set just behind the main farmhouse, this cedar-clad cylindrical ’Hobbit-style’ pod offers living accommodation in one pod, with washing facilities in another. The main living pod has a 4ft double bed nestled between two 2ft singles, which can be converted to sofas, and if the weather is inclement you will be warm and cosy with a flatscreen TV and DVD player to keep you entertained. Polean Farm Cottages are located in Cornwall, down green lanes, off the Looe to Polperro road, just outside the village of Pelynt. The farm is set amongst rolling farmland and is less than 2 miles from the sea. All of the cottages are full of character and provide a cosy home-from-home. They have all been converted from original farm buildings which date back to the 18th century.
The Old Farmhouse (ref UK12895) is a historical, semi-detached farmhouse which has been tastefully renovated and is perfect for a large family get together or for two families to holiday together.
Little Owls Cottage (ref UK12896) is a detached barn named after the owls that still live in the nesting boxes around the building which can sometimes be heard at night. It is set in its own garden with glorious views across the farm and towards the village of Pelynt.
Rosebud Cottage (ref UK12897) and Shires Rest (ref UK12899) are pleasant, beamed cottages with lovely countryside views. Before being converted, both cottages were used to store hay in the winter and you can still see many of the original features.
Threpney Cottage (ref UK12898) is an imaginatively converted ’roundhouse’ and is full of character. The cottage was named after the old twelve sided three penny piece due to its shape.
Twinkles Cottage (ref UK12900) is a charming and spacious ‘upside down’, beamed cottage, with great views across the farm and surrounding countryside.
Waggoners Cottage (ref UK12901) is a delightful single-storey cottage, with its own garden and views of the front fields and the children’s play area at the rear. The cottage was named after the wagons that used to be stored in it and you can still see many of the original features of the barn.
The Mealhouse (ref UK12902) was originally used to store the feed or ‘meal’ for the pigs that resided in the pig sty which can still be seen across from it. The Mealhouse is detached and set slightly apart from the other cottages, offering uninterrupted views across the farm.
Polean Farm provides the perfect destination for a family holiday. The farm offers animal feeding each week day morning, where you may help bottle feed lambs (seasonal) and hand feed pigmy goats and chickens, as well as enjoy pony or tractor rides! The farm is also a working livery yard and children and parents often enjoy visiting the horses and ponies each day.
Guests have free use of an indoor heated swimming pool just a few minutes’ drive away. It’s perfect for families and children who want to splash around or those wanting to put in a few lengths and keep fit. Guests are also welcome to make free use of the nightly entertainment at the same local holiday complex which is just a few minutes’ drive from the farm. The entertainment is on every night and includes children’s entertainment, followed by grown up entertainment with top musicians, performers and comedians regularly appearing throughout the season. Children are allowed in the venue for the whole evening. Please note, the pool is not available during August due to overcrowding, and entertainment is not available November-March (except during school holidays). Take a short drive to Lands’ End or the beautiful white sandy beach and harbour at Sennen Cove, a popular spot with surfers and those who love the beach. Take the scenic coastal drive from Pendeen to St Ives across stunning moorland, passing the small village of Zennor with its tales of mermaids, an ancient church and a charming local pub.

Be sure to visit the Minack open air theatre, built directly into the cliff face with the ocean as a backdrop. The Eden project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Ives, Port Isaac, home to TV’s ’Doc Martin’, Fowey, and Truro, the county capital are all easily reached from Trescowthick and are all a must to enjoy the diverse aspects of this historic county.
