Enjoying uninterrupted views of the award-winning Mawgan Porth beach, this fantastic beach house is surrounded by a third of an acre of beautifully kept gardens with a large, sea facing, sun trap decking area, overlooking gently sloping lawns and a pretty stream that trickles down to the sea below. Solar panels help heat the house and water while providing free electrical car charging for our guests’ electric vehicle.

Over the past year (2022), the house has been renovated to the highest standards by one of the country’s leading interior designers and offers plenty of living space all benefitting from exceptional sea views and floor to ceiling sliding doors leading to a large decking area. The large circular fireplace makes for cosy evenings during the Autumn and Winter months. The brand-new handmade kitchen is well supplied with all creature comforts from a juicer to a selection of coffee machines, including a Nespresso. A door leads into a separate TV room with a big corner sofa, both with fabulous sea views and door to the terrace. Three ground floor bedrooms, ome with chandelier, two with those stunning views. A beautiful glass and oak staircase leads from the entrance hall up to the first floor where you will find three more bedrooms; a double bedroom with en-suite shower room; a large twin bedroom with large en-suite shower room, and one with a TV and sofa bed which enjoys the best views of all.

The beach is just a 5-minute walk away from the garden gate. Off the drive, there is a lawned area and to the side of the house a heated outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. The equipment store has a range of children’s wetsuits and storage for boards. Once cleaned off, you can luxuriate in the state-of-the-art Aspen and Spruce spa with a sauna, experiential shower plus cold water bucket for the brave. Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west facing beach, stunning scenery, wondrous walks, superb surfing, an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket, including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafés, and takeaways all within walking distance of Blue Seas. Visit the quaint harbour towns of Newlyn and Mousehole, and the romantic open air Minack Theatre is just a short drive away, built in to the cliff face overlooking the beautiful beach at Porthcurno, with stunning performances throughout the year. Surf at Sennen beach or walk along the glorious white sandy beach or cliff top to Lands End. Fishing is available locally, and the area is popular for bird watching with the marshes at Marazion and Hayle attracting bird and wildlife enthusiasts from around the world. Padstow, home to the foodie empire of Rick Stein, the celebrated TV chef, has narrow cobbled lanes that meander around this ancient fishing village and gravitate towards the working fishing harbour. Get a pasty or an ice cream and watch the boats come and go with the days catch. Padstow sits at the mouth of the Camel Estuary and you can hire bikes in the town and cycle along the flat multi-use trail that hugs the shoreline as it heads into the countryside towards the market town of Wadebridge, full of craft and gift shops and bakeries.
The coastline nearby is dotted with secluded sandy coves and fishing villages which make a stunning backdrop to the South West Coast Path, which is a must if you enjoy walking and great views. Newquay, renowned for surf culture across its 11 beaches, is also easily reached with its own zoo, tennis club, cinema, ample bars, restaurants, cafés and coffee shops. Why not book some lessons with a local surf school and try your hand at this amazing sport?
Port Isaac, Polzeath and Rock are all nearby and easily reached with many golf clubs in the region including The Point, St Enodoc and Merlin, enabling you to play at many clubs through the week. The south coast of Cornwall is also easily accessible and offers a completely different experience of Cornwall with tropical gardens and its own climate. Completed in late 2022, Rosefern is a stunning detached house of contemporary design with underfloor heating throughout. Tintagel is inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur and is steeped in history. A visit to the English Heritage site of Tintagel Castle, where legend and historical fact alike meet stunning scenery, is a definite must while in the area and for Arthurian enthusiasts it is unmissable! There are many beaches in the area for surfers and sunseekers alike including Trebarwith Strand, Bossiney and the Castle Beach all in walking distance along beautiful coastal paths. Much of the North Cornish coastline is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities with many well-trodden routes.
There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover along this coastline including Crackington Haven and Boscastle. A bit further to the south is the fishing port of Padstow and quaint Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame and 20 miles to the north is the fabulous coastal town of Bude. If you fancy crossing over the ‘border’ into Devon and enjoy open spaces then Dartmoor National Park is 33 miles or so to the east – here you can enjoy a day of walking and discover the vast moorland and roam the craggy landscape, defined by forests, rivers, wetlands and rock formations or tors. Or search the Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses in this amazing landscape!

Welcome to Windmills; a truly stunning cottage set within a secluded coastal location close to the beautiful fishing port of Mevagissey. Once parked, walk up to your door with its charming gold seahorse door knocker.
Inside, all is revealed, a superb open-plan living space, with hand-crafted fixtures and fittings throughout. The kitchen is well-equipped, bright, and spacious with its own breakfast bar. The dining area accommodates six guests with ease whilst the living room has quality soft furnishings and sumptuous seating, a lovely wood burner for those chilly evenings, and a generous-sized TV. There is a useful utility room with a washing machine too. The stairs with their stylish black and white banisters lead up to the first floor from where the views become even more impressive. All three bedrooms offer en-suite facilities and underfloor heating; bedroom one has a king-size bed, TV, walk-in shower, and, oh, those sea views! Bedroom two, with its charming mint green colour scheme, has a kingsize zip and link facility, sea views, a quirky sun-funnel, and a walk-in shower. The third bedroom is quite delightful in subtle pink hues, with a double bed, shower, and superb hand-made vanity units. Venture outside and you will find a secluded space with garden furniture, ideal for morning coffee before you set off!
The hot tub is in an idyllic setting with room for eight guests, and offers a wondrous view towards Mevagissey harbour. Then, of course, you have your own sympathetically restored railway carriage! With super lighting and electric sockets. You can take a ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey, an ancient port set within beautiful surroundings and full of charm. Visit St Austell, a town with many amenities and visible links to the once-thriving mining industry here.
The Wheal Martyn Museum is well worth a visit, whilst the world-renowned Eden Project is a short drive away; here huge Biomes protect the world’s largest indoor rainforest and so much more besides! Travel half an hour south-west and find popular Downderry Beach, sheltered with rock pools at low tide for children of all ages to enjoy. Beautiful Dartmoor National Park and mysterious Bodmin Moor are must visits, both showcasing some of the most spectacular vistas in the south-west. Oakwood is perfectly situated for summer days at the beach, being close both to the spectacular North Cornwall coast and to the picturesque Camel Estuary with their rocky coastlines and wonderful sandy beaches. Rock, Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Padstow, Port Isaac, Tintagel, and Wadebridge are all only a few minutes away. For walkers, the Cornish Coastal Path is less than a mile away.
Oakwood is also perfect for spring, autumn, and Christmas breaks with its underfloor heating throughout and wood burner in the living room for added luxury.

Polean Farm Cottages are located in Cornwall, down green lanes, off the Looe to Polperro road, just outside the village of Pelynt. The farm is set amongst rolling farmland and is less than 2 miles from the sea. All of the cottages are full of character and provide a cosy home-from-home. They have all been converted from original farm buildings which date back to the 18th century.
The Old Farmhouse (ref UK12895) is a historical, semi-detached farmhouse which has been tastefully renovated and is perfect for a large family get together or for two families to holiday together.
Little Owls Cottage (ref UK12896) is a detached barn named after the owls that still live in the nesting boxes around the building which can sometimes be heard at night. It is set in its own garden with glorious views across the farm and towards the village of Pelynt.
Rosebud Cottage (ref UK12897) and Shires Rest (ref UK12899) are pleasant, beamed cottages with lovely countryside views. Before being converted, both cottages were used to store hay in the winter and you can still see many of the original features.
Threpney Cottage (ref UK12898) is an imaginatively converted ’roundhouse’ and is full of character. The cottage was named after the old twelve sided three penny piece due to its shape.
Twinkles Cottage (ref UK12900) is a charming and spacious ‘upside down’, beamed cottage, with great views across the farm and surrounding countryside.
Waggoners Cottage (ref UK12901) is a delightful single-storey cottage, with its own garden and views of the front fields and the children’s play area at the rear. The cottage was named after the wagons that used to be stored in it and you can still see many of the original features of the barn.
The Mealhouse (ref UK12902) was originally used to store the feed or ‘meal’ for the pigs that resided in the pig sty which can still be seen across from it. The Mealhouse is detached and set slightly apart from the other cottages, offering uninterrupted views across the farm.
Polean Farm provides the perfect destination for a family holiday. The farm offers animal feeding each week day morning, where you may help bottle feed lambs (seasonal) and hand feed pigmy goats and chickens, as well as enjoy pony or tractor rides! The farm is also a working livery yard and children and parents often enjoy visiting the horses and ponies each day.
Guests have free use of an indoor heated swimming pool just a few minutes’ drive away. It’s perfect for families and children who want to splash around or those wanting to put in a few lengths and keep fit. Guests are also welcome to make free use of the nightly entertainment at the same local holiday complex which is just a few minutes’ drive from the farm. The entertainment is on every night and includes children’s entertainment, followed by grown up entertainment with top musicians, performers and comedians regularly appearing throughout the season. Children are allowed in the venue for the whole evening. Please note, the pool is not available during August due to overcrowding, and entertainment is not available November-March (except during school holidays). This converted 17th-century Fish Cellar is in a stunning location with beautiful beaches literally on the doorstep. Set within a private gated community of five properties, this is a mid-terrace, eco-friendly home with much of the original stone retained to keep the charm and heritage alive. The property is set over three levels and in addition to uninterrupted sunsets and the sound of crashing waves, boasts a host of entertainment including board games, books, music and audiobooks through Amazon Echo, hundreds of DVDs, TVs in most rooms, a PlayStation 3 with games and a Nintendo Wii. For your relaxation you also have available a steam shower, aromatherapy and mood lighting. There is also a private hot tub situated on a decked area of the balcony.
The Fish Cellars is the perfect base for you to explore this historic and exciting area, known as the hidden gem of Cornwall. Portwrinkle is a small village on the south east coast of Cornwall, with views along Whitsand Bay, which can be seen for miles on a sunny day from the private balcony. Portwrinkle has two sand and shingle beaches, one of which is Finnygook beach and is popular with experienced surfers, however there are plenty of rock pools for the children to explore (nets available in the house), or you can just sit back and relax and take in the dramatic coastline around you.
The South West Coast Path is only 100 yards away and is perfect for enjoying a leisurely walk, whilst taking in the spectacular views of the coastline. It is characterised by high cliffs, dramatic scenery and long stretches of sandy beaches just waiting to be discovered.
A short drive away, or if you’re feeling adventurous, an 8-mile coastal path walk, is the traditional fishing village of Looe. The long harbour wall stretches up to the Victorian bridge. You can take a trip to Looe Island and explore the rock pools or go crabbing, you may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the grey seal colony. There’s plenty of opportunities for sailing and fishing trips, too. You can also relax on the sandy beach in Looe, paddle in the sea or roam around the shops, museums and galleries. The local fish market sells fish straight off the boats from the harbour, something for a special dinner perhaps.
Down the road from Looe is the historic fishing village of Polperro with its winding streets, once a thriving centre for smugglers. The pretty village cottages are perched on steep slopes overlooking the harbour. There are many displays of local art and crafts, and you can sample local produce in one of the many cafés and restaurants Polperro has to offer. The inner harbour is full of colourful boats and is still a working harbour to this day.
Slightly further afield are the famous Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, both around a 50-60-minute drive away. The Eden Project hosts concerts and themed events throughout the year and has plenty to keep children and adults fascinated. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, set in 200 acres of garden history, were once lost under brambles and have been restored to their former glory. You can explore the gardens and the estate in your own time and appreciate why Heligan is one of the finest gardens in England. Historic homes closer to hand are Mount Edgcumbe House and Anthony House.
There is so much to see and do here, beautiful beaches, fishing villages, coastal walks, cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding and a plethora of National Trust properties are all available locally. Beach 170 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant.
