There are numerous National Trust properties in the area, as well as the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Hartland Abbey is well worth a visit, along with the lighthouse at Hartland Point and even the shipwreck museum at Hartland Quay. The one hour cliffside walk from Branscombe to the quintessential fishing village of Beer is a particular highlight with breathtaking scenery and ocean views. You can explore Heritage coast footpaths from Branscombe and Sidmouth in one direction and Lyme Regis and Seaton in the other. Enjoy freshly caught fish and chips and an ice cream whilst searching for fossils along the Jurassic Coast. The Regency seaside town of Sidmouth is just three miles away where you’ll find a great range of attractions and activities, including a visit to the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary. For the little ones, the World of Country Life, Crealy Adventure Park, Beer Quarry Caves, Bicton Gardens and Pecorama are all within a short drive.
